Alright... in a time of need (2 weeks ago) I bought an eighth of really good weed... but it was moldy, which is a sad thing to see when that is all I had!

But, I got a bunch more of something worth smoking and I have around 2 grams of this poop sitting around, so...

I was wondering what the best way to get the mold out would be... I am not looking for a big yield... just something that will get me high once vs. throwing away the moldy bud.

It is pretty good stuff, just moldy...

BHO seems like the best way to get the good out and keep the bad in the bad so I can throw it out. I don't have any butane on hand though.

I have some 70% isopropyl alcohol, but I figure that will just take out the mold WITH the THC and other goodies.

Suggestions?

P.P.S. Oh and to answer your question you either need to smoke it with the mold or throw it away. Or you could bake it into something. Maybe the heat would destroy a little of any bacteria. Still not a good idea though. You can't seperate the mold from it, sorry.

The IpOH would probably kill the mold. If you could get 90% or anhydrous, it would be better.

How about if I were to grind it to shit... soak it in some lukewarm water, squeeze it out a wee bit through a coffee and THEN do the ISO extraction?

Heat in an oven preheated @ 150C for 5-10 minutes. The heat will kill bacteria/mould, and the moisture evaporation means you can powder the weed up and massively increase surface area.
Dump your powdered weed into high-proof alcohol (which also kills bacteria/mould), shake a lot and warm it up if you want to speed up the process. Filter the weed out, and let the alcohol evaporate. Scrape up the oil and smear it onto a rolling paper/cig.

I did this with a 1/4 of mouldy weed, and ended up with enough to smear onto 2 Rizlas. One joint got 5 of us high as fuck.

If by mini you mean using a can of butane smaller than 8 oz, it wont work. not enough pressure. and if you got moldy weed from your dealer you need to demand your money back, dont be such a fucking pushover.

The kid I got it from isn't a dealer, it was a little bit of his personal stash that I made him let go of.

Just smoke it, it really won't do you any harm beyond what it was going to do to you in the first place. Sure, it won't be a pleasant smoke, but then that's what you get for buying skanky-ass bud...

Well, you only got an 8th, right? That's 3.5gs. That's not really enough to make anything worth smoking. I say you just bite the butt and toke that moldy shit. You could fuck about with ISOing it, but you will probably end up wasting and hour or so when you could just smoke it and be high for that period.
