Default Loperamide

So I took 6mg's of loperamide along with 1g of ascorbic acid (which helps drugs cross the BBB http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...+C+blood+brain), as an experiment. I didn't notice any effects until morning when I woke up. I was definately experiencing a mild opioid high. So it's definately not placebo, because I wasn't expecting this at all. I have a negligable opioid tolerance btw.

So before school I took 1g+ vitamin C, along with another 4mg's of loperamide.
The high I was already experiencing became stronger, and i'm experiencing it even now and I was experiencing the high after many hours of sleep, so it's very long lasting. The effects are mostly physical, because i've noticed little to no improvement in mood. Just a mild, yet enjoyable body high.

I don't think it was the vitamin C that helped the loperamide get across the BBB though. All I know is I got high.
Theirs other substances which supposedly help it get across such as quercetin and polysorbate 80. So on my next experiment I will try 12mg's loperamide, along with 500mgs quercetin, 1g ascorbic acid with bioflavanoids, and eat some ice cream which contains polysorbate 80. I'll report back soon.

Discuss.

LOL, I saw that response coming. Self-pwn. Is the constipation worth it? Enthusiastic at all about doing 12mg? Just curious :p

This happened today though... can't say for sure if it's worth it.

I'll do the second experiment once I get some more loperamide and other stuff. Their was also quite a bit of itching, so i'll be using an anti-histamine next time too. Maybe some dxm to give it more of a positive mental aspect and potentiate it.

Just thought I'd remind you that you could either be the savior of dopesick fiends everywhere, or the reason Imodium gets put behind the counter.

Antiretrovirals also increase Loperamide's cross over the BBB.

This is nothing new. It has the nickname 'Poor Mans Methadone' - although I disagree with this designation completely (I would consider Cimetidine the poor mans Methadone).

It does not prevent or help dope sickness (somewhat helps with the shits in early withdrawal, does nothing to stop you from shitting yourself mid to late WD).

Some people take 'supratherapeutic' doses to try and get high- meaning hundreds of milligrams/grams. Theres some articles about this floating around online.

If you take even small doses of Loperamide daily for a few weeks then stop, you will experience withdrawal syndrome. In a nutshell, Immodium is all of the negatives of opioids (itching, irritability, nausea, constipation, etc) with no fireworks.

Plus I am pretty sure it is only an agonist / only affects Opioid receptors in the large intestine? Meaning no chance at making it a recreational opioid.
