I'm a full time student that works on the side. I smoke out, but not uber regularly. Maybe once a month at the most.

I work with a guy thats taking classes and all, and he tells me that before a big test he'll smoke out and go over the material and he'll do better on the test.

For me, weed usually spaces me out and sends me off into random thoughts. So, does it help you guys focus? Would you reccomend smoking it before a big test?

I don't think being high would have affected my learning ability in school.I just never cared about doing the work.

Everytime I got high in school I never did any work so I can't tell you if I would have done better or worse.

others can do reports, study, take tests, etc..

Weed makes me better in school, Well, for the subjects I like anyways. Im more attentive, can remember other stuff that I learned while baked very well and always ace my tests. If I dont like the subject or its not interesting I just screw around.

I did several year end exams baked. I got a 99% on the history exam I wrote while high. I was very impressed. I wrote "I voluntarly withdraw from this examination" and signed my name on my french writing exam because it really dident appeal to me that day. I was expecting a zero, but they gave me a twenty, for some odd reason. I cant remember if I did any others baked, and if I did they werent overly outstanding.

No, and No.

I forget what it's called, but there's a theory in psychology which says you should take a test in the state of mind in which you studied for it. So if you study jacked on red bull, take the test after 6 red bulls. If you study high, take the test high. According to this theory studying sober and taking the test blazed would seem to be counter-productive.

For me anyway, it's probably the worst idea in the world. Try doing work which requires concentration and reasoning. If it don't work, it don't work. Can't hurt to try though.

I wouldn't try studying while high, but that's just me. I get so confused I can't read anything longer than two sentences no matter how hard I try.

On the other hand it can aid understanding at times. For example, when I was reading Kant I got stoned one night then started thinking about it and it all came together in my mind and made sense for the first time.

i think it's called something like state dependent learning. what that means is you will do better if you test in the same setting or mindset as when you were studying. like if you get high and study, you'll do better if you're high for the test. also if you study and drink coffee, you'll do better if you drink coffee while taking the test.

also, research has found some levels of marijuana can be better than ritalin or concerta with people who have ADHD or ADD, so maybe that does help him study. i have ADHD, and personally find i can concentrate better if i take a few hits from a hitter, but if i take too much, my thoughts wander and i can't concentrate very easily. it's all about finding a personal limit.

No matter what some weed smoking d00de off BLTC says, I know I would kinda fail any exam I had to take, when stoned, or at least perform worse on it.

You might be a luck exception, but why take the risk, unless you REALLY know weed turns you into some sort of genius, which is..... rare, humm? :p

I smoke every single morning before school, test or not. Usually just one bowl.

It's pretty hit or miss, with history, english or math I'll usually do better than usual, no joke, because I don't hesitate or worry about quadrupe checking everything, I just go.

But, I made the mistake of smoking a fat joint of good mids before a Chemistry test, and I got a 50.
