And I'm wondering..

Will that interfere in a bad way with my drug usage? Like if I take some Xanax, or pain pills (OC/Oxy/Hydro), or a combo of those..

Will that negatively affect my SSRI? Is it dangerous? IF so at what levels?

I think you would want to stay away from drugs that effect your serotonin.

You want to avoid DXM as it can cause seretonin syndrome. I was on a low dosage of celexa and could go up to about 3rd plateau. Just make sure you know what the symptoms of seretonin syndrome are.

Also, psyches will be slightly less effective on you depending on your dosage.

I'm just making sure I won't be dying by using Xanax or my loves the ol' OCs.
That's pretty much all I want to know, because I like to take a bar with a perc 10 or OC 10 and chill.

What are the symptoms of seratonin syndrome?

Iv just been put on 10mg a day 2 weeks ago and I found although the side affects are really nasty they do help.

Iv found that they potentate a lot of drugs quite a lot especially alcohol (But not in a nice way.)

I did OC for the first time on Wednesday and after loads of research couldn't find any likely problems with a combination. I actually had an amazing time! :D

As far as I can see just avoid anything that effects serotonin as people have already said. Drugs such as MDMA in combination can cause pretty serious long term damage and the effectivness of halucogens can be reduced greatly.

As far as I know opiates aren't dangerous on this medication and I also read from a few sources that they may even be potentiated!

Just out of interest have you had many side affects? The first few days felt like the negative effects of E or a comedown but I feel noticeably happier and more confident on it.

I'm on 20mg a day, so far I intiailyl felt a headache with the lack of desire to even lift a finger the first day.

On day two, I woke up and felt great. But we'lll see if that continues or tapers..

I've been on 40mg for about 4 years now. Shit works as it should but the withdrawal is hell. Imaging spinning around in a char for 3 hours. that is what it feels like for about a week. Just moving your head real quick will make you almost think your going to feint.

I was proscribed celexa about 7 years ago. It made my feet stink (no joke) and severely altered my psyce. If it works for you, go for it tho.

Im pretty sure Anti-Deppressents increase the effects of Alcohol, warning on the bottle. i wouldent try to break any personal records while on them

I'm 115lbs and I drank half a 2-4 while on 20mg a day. I don't have a very large alcohol tolerance either. If you pace yourself with your drinking you won't get the spins horribly, but I find if you drink quick the spins come on faster then ever.

Weed seemed to have a more intense effect too.

LSD was reduced a slight amount but not enough to make it unproductive.

I had no change in effect from mushrooms. May have been slightly reduced but unnoticeably.

Codeine wasn't changed

Oxycodone wasn't changed

Zopiclone wasn't changed

Bupropion wasn't changed

D/L Amps weren't changed

Coke wasn't changed

I can't think of anything else I did while on them.

Coffee / smoking didn't change

I become extremely apathetic however and didn't care about myself or anyone else. I wasn't miserable, but I wasn't happy either. I was in this numbed state. FTR: I hate SSRI's.

First of all, I love you. This is a great reply, covers everything.

But it seemed as though when I took an OC 5, which isn't much (I take OC 20 pretty frequently), I was given a great feeling, it was weird, I didn't feel the normal buzz of a pain pill, but like a mild euphoria and general well being for hours.

Secondarily, I am generally apathetic in regards to most things, but after taking this.. I'll sit down to play a video game, start to play, then feel like "nah.." then try to do something else, and come to the same conclusion. IT's like I want to do things, but not really.. it's like before, except weirder.

I only agreed to try this because she wouldn't go any other route (this is actually prescribed to me for panic attacks, not depression, I like the way I feel normally). She wouldn't go the "here's X number of valium per month" route.

So I told her I would try things her way first.

Anyone done 2-ci on Celexa okay? Any reason to be concerned if I were to take it? Been on Celexa a while now..

no benzos metabolized through hepatic oxidation, including XANAX, and some others.

Wth did they give you celexa for panic attacks... Just ask for some xanax and take that when you need it. Other benzos will also work.

Fuck anti-depressants, they don't work at all. At best they give you insomnia and nuke your libido to fucking hell.
