Rolling tips for a noobie
I am not a hardcore grass smoker and only get the odd £20 bag every few months.
Today I picked up a £40 bag and really need some tips on rolling.
The main problem is they end up completely mangled, in which case i then need to wrap a new skin around it all to keep it rigid. I prefer thin joints with only grass, no backy to fatten them up which makes it harder to roll.
Tips please for a noobie as i am in the presence of pros :D

Try out these kinda sites
http://www.geocities.com/frankthedragon/other/JointRolling/JointRolling.htm
(thats sites kinda shitty, they stole those from another site but i cant find it right now.)
Just keep practicing, you have plenty of weed, remember to tuck it kinda tight before rolling it together. Or buy a roller.

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
use the dollar bill method. someone on here can probably explain it better than me so i won't bother. i use to only be able to roll them that way but now i can free hand them nicely. also break open a cig and try rolling the tobacco up once you get good at that weed should be no problem. spread you weed out in the paper and just roll it back and forth in your fingers a little bit then roll it up.
oh and also check out you tube lots of joint rolling videos.

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
The only way to get good is practice. If you wanna get good fast, just sit down with a pack of papes and a bag of weed and roll. Dont stop rolling untill your satisfied with it. Tear 'em up untill you like your work. Then smoke it. Then roll another. And another, and another.
After you've done that, the only way to get better is to practice your skills daily :)

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
Watch this hilarious video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFxCqXwBZ28).
It won't be too helpful, because practice makes perfect ... keep the constancy even, start rolling in the middle outwards. Cutting the corners off the side which you roll up can help when you're starting out too.
You get better with time.

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
Practice practice practice, you'll get better. Personally, I'm not very good at joint rolling because I don't do it often. I don't smoke often, I stopped smoke a lot a year ago, but I have a few nice pieces I use instead. One of my buddies has a vape, bong, and we made a waterfall so I use them sometimes.
Also, I suggest using Zig Zag king sized, they're easier to roll, but move your way down to orange.

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
When i first tryed to roll i used rizla kingsize red's there goood for beginners or try the rizla blue ones.
Use the green card at the back of the pack for the roach.
you just need to roll it then bring it all the way down and flick it over, just takes practise.
If you dont wanna waste weed use rolling baccy.

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
Dude, its not that hard. You just gotta put all the weed, like in the middle, and make sure none falls out with 2 fingers while you roll the flap around with your thumbs, then lightly push the paper beneath the weed, then it's done. just lick it, then give it a good rub down and it's good to go.

yea, rolling a piece of paper into a cylinder is way cool. you must get mad kudos for pulling off a kindergarten-level activity. dipshit
but hey if you wanna be a dumbfuck and roll joints that are only half as good as what could be made with a machine, go ahead.

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
Actually my joints are twice as good, because my fingers can roll joints that machines can't, and because I also receive the pleasure of knowing I'm not so incapable at that kindergarten activity that I require the aid of a machine to help me complete it.

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
I just realized today why I fucking HATE joints. They are pathetic and weak and are gone in a good 2-5 hits.
They are flimsy and hard to pass around. Also, my friend niggerlipped it and the end fell apart(yes we beat his ass). Blunts are so much better and easier.

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
I could get a machine, but it would be easier to learn how to do it for when I am out and about. Also I personally would prefer the satisfactio of rolling it myself...even though ive seen some tiny pocket machines which do an amazing job.
I have a $2 bill because someone I know in the US said they were quite rare so she sent me 5 of them in a letter once....just something nice to keep :)
I got a packet of backy and some skins so I can practise over the weekend. Didn want to waste my grass.
Thanks for all the tips! My friend Shell is fantastic at rolling and can do it with one hand now so she has been helping me out today :)
Kudos to everyone.

Re: Rolling tips for a noobie
It is going pretty well, I have about 20 pretty good cigs rolled, but I don't smoke them so i will give them someone else.
I am going to a tobacconist tomorrow in the city and getting a rolling box. I can keep my zippo and grass in the under-side part, and use the top as the roller and to hold my roaches. Easier just to carry round :D
