Do you ever feel like drugs have made you dumber?

A few years ago I took a few 800mg pills of Neurontin [Gabapentin]. Users, especially on this site http://www.askapatient.com/viewrating.asp?drug=20235&name=NEURONTIN
have stated feeling loss of memory and confusion. I was wondering if taking those few pills could have had a long term effect on my intelligence?

Yes, drugs can cause a slowing in mental ability and thought processing.

But only if you let them. Mind over matter in my opinion, if you maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep your brain occupied with the right activities, you will feel 'smarter'.

Although to be honest, you may have just been born this way.

Neurontin is pretty safe and not even something i would consider recreational.

its not really the dose, but how long you keep up the lifestyle/use....

Honestly, neither benzodiazapines nor alcahol are good long term crutches....i have pretty much given up on drugs with affinities for the GABA receptors.

GABA releasing drugs are the worlds useless...anyone can go ahead and feel free to QFT me on that one.

I have tried Neurontin before.....it makes your thinking process hazy.....just like the whole fucking benzo family of drugs......

eat healthy, and do some aerobic exercise.... run a few miles/day

start exercising/sweating its like a nice jump-start for your brain....same goes for eating healthy...you will notice the difference at the new found clarity.

Neurontin will fuck with your brain. I've seen it turn people into stuttering zombies. I've also seen these people make a full recovery when discontinuing use.

I've never witnessed long-term degradation in anyone but the most out of control poly-drug abusers. Worse than the average &totse fuckup, I mean.

BLTC might have a negative impact on cognitive abilities, though...
