Anyone any advice for someone who wanted to get a plant going for less than £40?

It's piss cold in Ireland, even weed won't grow outdoors.

£40? Your going to need some seeds, so subtract 10-30 right there. Next some plant soil suitable for tomatoes, and some big ass pots.

Germinate seed indoor, in warm place, either directly or germinate the seed on wet cotton wool. Wait till you've got a sprout, then transplant to warm, not windy space. Good luck getting any decent weather to grow in. I've been told that pot smells when it's about to flower, so watch out for that.

The only decent pot grown in Ireland is with indoor setups, with high intensity lights. £40 is about your monthly electricity bill with one of these set-ups.

Edit: maybe you can grow it for a week or two indoors - remember lots of light - think 4x household CFL and then transplant out. You can grow indoors with CFL, but need to drop about £100 for high powered bulbs. At least 400w in actual energy usage for each plant.

First off use HPS lights instead they are more efficient. Also it's not wattage that you need it's lumens you need about 2000 per sq. ft. or 6000 lumens per sq. meter for you Europeans.

And I thought I had read some retarted threads until I read this one. This is on par with huff raid.
