Kava
I'd heard about kava a few years ago and recently I was poking around and doing some general research on it. I'd like to try it, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me with some basic questions..
What site do you order from? Some look iffy, and I don't want to waste my money.
Which product did you order? Ground root powder? If so, what variety?
I ask for variety because http://tinyurl.com/339p8n has different varieties and I don't know about flavor (from googling, flavor seems to be kind of muddy) and how easy it is to drink- I've enjoy every tea I've tried, but I imagine this is different.
And dose! If anyone recommends a product, also could you give me a dosage that would give me the mild effects? (I.e., give me your body weight and dose that works for you and I'll figure out grams kava powder to kilograms body weight or whatever) I'm obviously not trying kava to get fucked up. I just want an easy chill-out.
Thank you for your help. I believe this is okay here because I have done my preliminary research.

Re: Kava
It's a great relaxer-chill out thing. Very big in some exotic locations- and for good reason! Personally, i've done all kinds of doses, test the water, expiriment! Find out what works for you and I most highly rec. Kona Kava Farm. Good luck!

Re: Kava
I spent a week in Fiji two summers ago, tthe local village threw these big social gathering/parties every night. Long story short kava tastes like dish soap mixed with mud but is worth every terrible sip.

Re: Kava
I fouind kava to be nice. I really like how it numbs your mouth/throat, makes the taste a little more bearable :). But seriously though, the shit does taste like... shit, so I wouldn't reccomend pounding a glass, Just sip on your brew and relax.

Re: Kava
Dear pennylane,
I thought that konakavafarm.com looked like a good site and ordered a pound of their ground kava root. It should arrive in a few days, and I even used a coupon code for $5 off that I found as a result of a google search. Success!
And thank you all for your replies.
