Default Trouble sleeping at night

Alright, heres my problem, I can barley ever fall asleep before 4 am. I always feel tired during the day, but never during the night. I've tried skipping a day of sleep but I still cant fall asleep at night. Anyway, heres my question: What would the best sleeping pill be, as in efficiency as opposed to side-effects . I used to use ambien recreationaly about 2 years ago, and even the thought of taking it makes me sick(literally), I've gottan prescribed trazadone a year ago and that shit makes my legs go numb and i wake up feeling like shit. So anyway, thanks in advance.

I thought Benadryl wasn't any good for sleeping because it fucks with REM or something?

If you want to sleep.

Get on seroquel.

Impossible to stay up on it.

I second seroquel, I take it every night. It knocks you out. I doubt you'd be able to get perscribed to it unless you have a diagnosed mood disorder or something though.

I third that! But add Lunesta to it! The Lunesta is the best of the Z-Class drugs IMO. Kinda like weak-ass Valium.

Seroquel, benzos, alcohol or ambien will all get the job done. I take 100-200 mg benadryl/diphenhydramine for sleep, that dose has me drowsy in no time. Don't stay up on all that benadryl, it'll make you real loopy over 100mg.

diphenhydramine 50-100mg for my 135lb body works but i feel sleepy in the morning so I only use it if I just have to sleep..

The best way IMO (and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it..) is to masturbate/have sex before bed. wow.

Avoid caffeine, nicotine, etc. after around noon.

I take benadryl at 9pm or earlier so I'm not drowsy in the morning.

1. Smoke Bowl
2. Take three 3mg melatonin
3. drink 6-8 drinks
4. take benadryl
5. smoke a cigarette

All of the above five must be used to attain effective sleep.

first:
*corrects poofeek

2 different drugs

Second:

Try doing a day or 2 of sleep deprivation....with a nice work out.

You will be tired, and reprogram back into a more suitable schedule.

At times i go a day without sleep to reset myself.

You dont fall asleep because you are not tired, all you do is sit on your ass, and smoke pot.

Third:

working out should be beneficial.

go outside, start to jog/walk....trust me it is great to support sanity of mind and body makes you feel great too. (runners high....is quite what it sounds like)

Fourth:

Dont fucking sleep until you feel like it....... i know it is tempting to stay in bed......especially if you have nowhere to be at a particular time, early in the morning.

Get up! no matter how tired you are......

.................................................. ...................

off course there is the EASY way.....
go bitch at your Dr.
have fun tripping out on Seroquel......... Nothing like hitting the town on 200mg of Seroquel! :D

SRSLY stay away from the Z class drugs like Ambien and lunesta.

I had a friend that fucked himself Very Very hard with daily ambien snort-age. Those shits are Baaaaad for your brain.

150mg tablets of Trazadone are what get the job done for me. But still even with that, I have trouble. But I account that for the fact that I have extreme insomnia.

Diphenhydramine makes some people excitable instead of tired, especially children. Nyquil is good stuff, especially if it still has 10% alcohol. It doesen't seem the same to me, the stuff used to knock me out after a few sips. If diphenhydramine doesen't work for you try doxylamine, the sedating antihistamine in NyQuil. Unisom is doxylamine, but only the pills, the geltabs are diphenhydramine.

I didn't read the last two pages of posts but I would suggest (like many probably have) some pot.

Weed will definitly get you to sleep faster, although it may< reduce REM sleep while increasing whats called Stage 4 sleep.

However, this isn't really any different from other hypnotics you'd be prescribed.

doxylamine succinate pills (active antihistamine in nyquil - blows benadryl outta the water, and most prescription sleeping pills, hell even some opiates imo) is what i like to use if i'm out of my GHB which is what i use for sleeping

then again before i got my G source i was drinking insane amounts of alcohol to sleep, but even with my routine 45 mins of cardio a day i was gaining weight which just wasn't going down for me. maybe being fat doesn't bother you for some reason though, in that case bottoms up

Don't know if anyone has said this but 5-HTP is great for sleep.
Take it about an hour before you want to go to bed and if you do this regularly it could possibly fix your whole sleeping issue.

Also nothing will work if your not actually trying to sleep but just waiting to feel sleepy, go lay in bed and relax with the lights off. Read about how your body works with melatonin and your pineal gland with light if you want to know more.

Apparently it's also an anti-depressant?

Try changing your sleep rythm some are hunters and fighters some are gatherers. Me, I feel tired if I sleep more than 4-5 hours a day.

I can sleep for days though ( probably for healing )

I usually go to sleep about 12 or 1 and get up at 3 , sleep again at 4 if nothings happening ( I do well with 2 - 3 hours even ) then get up at 5 , school at 8 if workday.

Used to be 10 valiums and a half ( bottle ) a Jack would put me to sleep for 2 hours ( it was pretty cold that day outside though and that house didn't have insulation damnit. just bricks )

Then I started by training sleeping .
Deep breaths, think nothing , don't move even for that itch. you won't itch after a certain point anymore. hehe

Then I found my sleeping rythm. Took me 8 years of being tired all day to realise "normal people" sleeping times don't apply to me.

Love

I'd take 3-6 mg of melatonin at the time you wish to be tired at every night or alternating nights into you start to get tired earlier. A lot of people say melatonin does shit all but it seriously works for me.
