On my way to the doctors in 6 1/2 hours....
Right, so i basically want to make out that i'm completely fucked up by adult ADD/ADHD my plan so far is.... say i've noticed it for a few years and just ignored it but recently (past 8 months or so) its gotten totally worse and its ruining everything and depressing me and i can't focus on what i do and i've been drinking lots of coffee because it helps me focus a little. Work? yes? no? i'll hopefully get those 5mg d-amp pills what are legal over here or some adderall if they can prescribe it to me in the uk.... so wish me best of luck i'll post back at about 6.00pm GMT.

Re: On my way to the doctors in 6 1/2 hours....
In most ADHD patients, coffee has an opposite effect, in that it acts as a depressant. So, if I were you, I would mention how you try to drink coffee to stay awake, but it often makes you more tired and unable to concentrate. Also don't forget to start randomly tapping one of your legs, and look around the room every once in a while.

Thanks for that! that could have been my downfall. I had already planned acting jittery and shit though because my nefew has ADD and he doesn't stop moving really... oh and about using certain things to help me "concentrate" should i tell him that ciggarettes usually help me focus a little too? or same as the coffee?

My doctor almost instantly tried to give me adhd medicine when I was in there for my broken arm. I sit there and tweak out, and I always pick shit up look at it and put it in the wrong place.
Just start picking shit up and putting it in the wront place man.

Oh, yeah i almost forgot to ask what are the chances he'll refer me to a therapist/phychiatrist (sp) for further inspection. Or in people over 16 would they normally prescribe ritalin, d-amp or l-amp? if its ritalin i'm just going to take them and give them to a friend or something and then when that prescription has ended i'll just tell him that they didn't really work.

Don't hint that you smoke, that might hint to the doctor that you have an "addictive personality"(sounds weird but true). Don't overdue it, you don't want to get the infamous "Drug seeker" title. Also, google DSM-IV externalizing disorders 4 more symptoms.

Re: On my way to the doctors in 6 1/2 hours....
Epic...epic fail here people, just got back and i'm still drug free for now. I did everything that was suggested and he didn't really pick up on any of it the only thing he latched onto was that said it was depressing me and totally used that all the way. He's refered me for counselling and he told me that at "my" age anti-depressants are totally out of the question.... so no luck yet.
