Keeping bud fresh
I know I've seen threads like this, but after a search I was unable to locate one.
I've got a half o of dank that I need to keep fresh for 2-3 weeks. I've bagged it up in 4 bags and I'll be adding a few orange peels to the bud once I get ahold of an orange. I also heard that keeping it in the fridge helps it stay fresh so I'll probably do that too.
Anyone have any other suggestions for keeping this bud fresh? Any serious suggestions are greatly appreciated.

No, you already knew exactly what to do, why did you have to make a thread?

this may sound stupid, but believe me.. it works. cut a potato into thin slices and put it in with your weed.

Re: Keeping bud fresh
I made a thread because I want to keep this bud as fresh as possible and I know that some people probably know more about this than I do.

Re: Keeping bud fresh
Fruit peels can cause mold growth and change the taste of the pot.
Use flour tortillias. They won't do either.

Thank you.
I hate when idiots say to add orange peels, or anything that is moist. That shit is nasty, and they obviously don't know shit about weed, or don't care enough to smoke the good stuff.
On the other hand, if they're smoking mids, or some bullshit, maybe it's not a bad idea to change the taste...

Sounds like a great way to get lead into your weed. I bet that adds to the high. But seriously, you gotta be trolling; there's no way anyone would do that.

No, that's why I said to use it.
The way I found out about it is from a friend of mine who grows for a couple of the medical pot clubs. She told me that since growers will grow a lot more at a time than they can sell, they will dehydrate the buds so that they don't get moldy. Then, when they're ready to sell, they put in tortilla pieces - or carrot peels - to rehydrate it.

Re: Keeping bud fresh
Dry the buds out by leaving them exposed to the air for a few hours or overnight. Then store them in a glass jar. When you want to smoke them, put a damp piece of paper towel in the jar for a while to let the buds absorb some moisture.
If you leave your buds wet in a plastic bag with orange peel, they will lose potency (if they don't grow mold)

Re: Keeping bud fresh
Thanks alot for the flour tortilla advice. I'm going to put a few peices of a tortilla in the bag and then triple bag it and leave it in th fridge. Appreciate the tip because I didn't want to use orange peels.

that's no way to store it. dry it and freeze it. only moisturize it when you want to smoke it.

it molds if you dry it and put it in the freezer, but not if you store it damp in the fridge with food touching it?

Re: Keeping bud fresh
I'm only concerned with storing it for another 7-10 days, then it's smoke city. I believe that drying and freezing it is a bit extreme for this relatively short duration of time. Maybe if it was going to be a month or so I'd consider it, but for just a week or so I think the tortilla, extra bags, and fridge will be enough to keep it fresh.
