So i sent out a package (one of those bubble envelopes) with a pound of ground coffee and a quarter ounce of bud inside of an airtight mason jar halfway down the bag of coffee with coffee all around it.

I went to fedex on the 17th and shipped it. I've been tracking it, and it's been at one fedex location for like two days now. It doesn't seem to be moving at all. Is it caught up or are they gonna just like overnight it tonight and have it out for delivery by tomorrow?

If you went to fedex to get it sent, you probly signed something do to you having to pay for it. Either they are just dicking around like the postal service does quite frequently, or you're boned. you were specifically told by people who get drugs through the mail to not do what you did. you were told to use usps, you used fed ex. i'm not positive about fed ex, but i know of a FACT that ups checks packages for drugs and helps bust people. that's why you were supposed to use regular mail and a padded envelope. the coffee thing is listed all over the web as how to mail drugs, they nail everyone that way. nice job, you're fucked...

One way I've been told that they can bust drug deliveries done through the mail is that once they know what's in there they'll get an undercover cop to deliver it to the door, once the package is in their hands or they have the signature for it they then make the arrest.

They could not press charges on the receiver if he did not ever knowingly have possession of the contents of the package because they couldn't prove that he ordered it. Once he opens the package and sees the contents and doesn't report it, then he can be charged for possession of the substance, mail fraud, etc.
