RC scale
Any suggestions? Doesn't need to be extremely accurate. I had my eye on: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290207857768

I'll need to be able to measure 15-20 mgs or something. Won't have to worry about 10 g limit. I doubt there are as accurate scales for cheaper.

Re: RC scale
You can find mg scales for $10 on ebay these days. Just do a search for 0.001scale or 0.001g and you should find them.

Re: RC scale
or, you could just measure it to the hundredth of a gram and use a liquid measurement.

Re: RC scale
Most of those ebay milligram gem scales are huge jokes. A real milligram scale that is decent will cost you between 100-200 dollars and is well worth the money. This is the one I've got and its always done the job 100%..

The cheap mg scales are cheap for a reason. They break easily and aren't very accurate, especially with low batteries.
I've had my JPrecision mg scale for around a year and a half and it works alright. The buttons got pushed inside of the scale the first week I got it because I let some dumbass use it to weigh out weed. It's decently accurate with new batteries in it though. I can't complain for the price, but my friend has gone through 3 of them so far.

.1g scales are +/- 100 mg. Not a good idea, if that's what you meant.

Re: RC scale
Hmm yeah I read some things about it on blue light. Seems the gemrpo 50 is alright. I can afford to be off a few mgs (like 4) and can save a lot of money with it. At least it doesn't seem like one of the inaccurate ones that displays mgs for the sake of doing so.

Re: RC scale
Even the cheapest ones are good for ~3mg. You just have to know how to use it.
A few tips:
You have probably noticed that when you add a tiny bit, it will not register it. The way around this is to tare it with a piece of foil on it. Remove the foil and record what you have. Then replace the foil and add what you want to measure onto the foil. It should remain at zero. When you remove the foil you will have a lower negative number then that which you first recorded. The difference between these numbers is the weight of whatever you added.
The scale should be feathered before using: Just carefully touch it with your finger, moving it along the edge of the weigh pan.
Keep it where you use it, temperature changes will make it float.
All measuring instrument are most accurate at the middle of their scale. Notice how it came with a weight that is 1/2 as much as its maximum capacity? You are supposed to tare it with that on it when measuring smaller amounts.
Don't ever let anyone else use it, they will do something dumb like press on the pan with their fingers.

.1g is a tenth of a gram. .01g is a hundredth of a gram, which translates to an accuracy of ~10mg on the individual dose. If you are measuring quantities of 100mg or more this is a margin of error of 1mg through liquid dosing that is accurate to 1mL (assuming 1mg/mL); or if you are measuring closer to a gram it's ~.1mg accuracy.
