Ok i know this may sound a little ridiculous but its worth a try. I found this small crudely sealed bag of white powder. It weights 13.5 grams, and doesnt glow under a black light. Its somewhat solid but breaks apart easyily. Its very dry and appears to be some kind of salt. The way its bagged makes me think that it may be some sort of drug. Is there anyway way i can test it without actually consuming any. Any speculations on what it may be? I know this is an extreme longshot but it looks to suspicious to just throw away.

I am 100% sure its cocaine. Snort that shit son.

First of all where did you find it? Was it somewhere public that could have been a drop spot or something?

Also, put some on your finger and see what it tastes like. Is it slightly salty? Bitter? Does it make your mouth numb (that'd be an obvious one).

Im 100% sure it is not cocaine. I found it in the Florida Keys on the beach of an uninhabited island(seriously). And im kind of hesitant to just taste it.

Yeah, When i found it was packaged with another smaller bag(about the size of a gram). One of my friends tasted it thinking it was coke and said it tasted salty. It seems to fine to be table salt, and i don't know why anything other than a drug would be packaged like this.

Burn it on some tin foil shapped sorta like a boat and see what it does when heat is applied from beneath, like does it go, to a puddle only to recrystallize very shortly after, if so its a good chance it may be ice/meth. Does it leave some colors?

I know its not the harm reduction thing to say, but snort/smoke some of the shit and see what the results are. Or you could just buy/create a marquis testing kit.

Smells kind of sweet when burned. Solidifies less then a minute after its melted and its kind of an dark amber color.

As a resident of the Florida Keys, my guess would be that it is quite possibly cocaine. It's the beginning of a very busy tourist season and we've had tons of fucking people down here, plus A LOT of people in the Keys do coke regularly anyway, it's the most common drug down here and it's not unusual to find bags that have fallen off boats or have been left behind. But yeah rub some on your gums and test it out.

My guess would be meth. It turned into a dark amber liquid (which means he burnt it a little) and smelled "sweet". Meth smoke may smell "sweet" to few people.

Yeah well its defiantly not sugar, i tasted some for myself and its defiantly salty tasting. The grain is a too small to be table salt and seems like it would be too small to be meth, i dont really have much experience with meth though. Any other test other then smoking/snorting/injecting i could do to determine if it is meth. If not its time to go find a lab rat.

Test its solubility or get a marquis testing kit.........but thats probably not worth it
