I'm considering UH at Manoa to study marine bio or Japanese and I was just wondering if anyone here was from the area who could give me some tips. How's the bud? I know, it's fucking Hawaii, but I"m just curious if anyone has had any firsthand experience. And no, I'm not basing my entire college career on whether or not they have good bud at good prices, I'd just like to know what to expect. Any other comments on the school? Thanks.

I lived in Hawaii for a few years when I was a kid (on the Big Island, to be specific). I was too young to be into drugs, so my knowledge of the prevalence of them is pretty limited. However, I DO know that my downstairs neighbors were tweakers, so there must be some speed going around. Which isn't surprising considering how common it is in eastern Asia. Another neighbor was also an avid potsmoker.
