Re: Dear Burnouts
Well.. I work w/ somebody whos a burn out, or used to, anyway.
College grad. Did some fuck-all major. Has a shitty job currently. Lives with his parents. Smokes weed, a lot. Not any real goals or aspirations. In fact, he smokes on the job, in the store, in the back, where it's available for everyone to smell. I guess he's lucky that everyone else there is a semi-burn out, and doesn't mind, even the manager, as long as he doesn't act retarded.
You'd think that'd be cool and all, ya know, smoking all day. But I had to introduce myself on 3 separate subsequent occasions. It took him a while to remember my face, my name, and that I work at the same fucking store he does. You lose more IQ points talking to him than you do thizzin', y'dig?
It's pretty much a cycle. A circle. You don't go anywhere. You keep repeating the same old shit, which I guess gets boring after a while, if you don't medicate.

Re: Dear Burnouts
Take a break. It makes you pretty much worthless when all you can think about is that next bowl. When it doesn't really even get you high anymore, why not stop for a little bit? Let your brain try to heal.
I read a very interesting article about chronic use and the damage it causes to the brain. More dealing with creative functions and how the brain re-wires itself when you're on all the time.

Re: Dear Burnouts
I am a burnout and I don't give shit. Weed is loosing it's effect (has been for sometime, now), so I say fuck it, on to more powerful drugs. Maybe you should take a break, but I say do what makes you happy, and smoking weed all the time makes me happy.

Re: Dear Burnouts
I think it is hilarious how you guys classify someone who smokes a lot of weed as a "burnout". All it takes is two weeks of not smoking trees to be back to your "normal self" (even though I would argue weed doesn't create an alternate you). Burnouts are people who took too many E bombs over a long period of time and can no longer function as a working member of society.

shit i used to smoke daily and im nothing near to some of my burnout friends
work at miccy dees and come to school unable to speak. most of them sound absolutely retarded when they talk
its just all about how you handle the drug, or...in alot of cases how the drug handles YOU
