Quitting one drug with a novice addiction
So I stopped smoking weed a while ago and the anxiety left me sleepless so I started taking benadryl to sleep and often to just calm down for a bit. So now I guess it's been a month I take a benadryl or two a day, I'm just wondering if thats hazardous to the body in any way.

Re: Quitting one drug with a novice addiction
No, it's recommended as a sleep aid in rehabilitation clinics.
Still a shitty addiction though. Best way to stop is take 24 of them and you'll vomit at the taste of them in your mouth next time you try to take one.

Re: Quitting one drug with a novice addiction
This is why sleep drugs aren't that good, or any drug addiction for that matter. Its not a good idea to be addicted to anything to function normally, even ritalin for ADD, or benadryl for sleep, when you could combat it with some mental toughness and willpower. Weed is technically also a sleep aid. Just seriously start smoking weed again, about an hour before you go to bed when you wouldn't be doing jack shit other than wacking off anyway. This way you get high daily but you won't be high when you need to focus on life. And all you'd need is a joint a day, which is highly sustainable and will only cost 5$ a day.

Re: Quitting one drug with a novice addiction
having a sleep crutch is no good, and is setting your insomnia fight back a couple of rounds dude...
regardless of the sleep aid, once your body gets use to said sleep aid to sleep your essentially fucked and theres no way out of the few days your gonna fight for sleep...

I'm pretty sure tylenol PM contains alot more diphenhydramine then benadryl, so I don't see that happening. I once took 5 of those bastards and got severely fucked up, and if I've heard correctly you need many more benadryls.

Re: Quitting one drug with a novice addiction
Like everyone else said, its not good to depend on things to function normally. Its just like shy people who drink all the time so they are better in social situations, they are fucked when they don't have alcohol.
I would say just jack off like a mad man, before you go to sleep if you need something, its probably the safest alternative.
