Benzo Prescription myth?
Sorry if this is better left for Bad Ideas, but I figured some of you here might know a little bit better.
Is it true that if (hypothetically) I were to go to a physician and explain to them that I am going through benzo withdrawal, that they HAVE TO (or, are very likely to) write me a prescription for benzos?
I'm not saying going in there and being like "I'm going through benzo withdrawal, write me a script."
I mean like, go in there shaking and freaking out, begging for help. Something realistic that will actually give the impression I am indeed going through withdrawal.
Thoughts? Am I stupid? Was I mislead? Please help?

Thanks. Keep in mind, the person told me that since benzo withdrawals had a slim chance of making you circle the drain, that physicians would write you a prescription with hopes you will taper down yourself?

Re: Benzo Prescription myth?
They'll recommend you to your nearest ER but will never prescribe because there are rumors of undercover DEA doing just that (or have done just that) floating among the medical community.

Go to the ER, get your shot of Ativan and a swift kick to the ass out the fuckin door with a reference (or not, who knows) to go see a psych/addiction specialist, and even they are douchebags that don't know what' they're doin when it comes to benzo wd safety.

Re: Benzo Prescription myth?
hi there,
pehaps go for alchoholic withdrawals, as you have recently broken up with a loved one and went on a huge two week bender - make sure to pour water on your head to act like you are perspiring real bad and have quite a few large coffees to help with nervousness - add in a few halllusinations you had the night before of people being in your room - who werent really there, and that you are very agiatated - it is documented that a person goind through delerium tremens can actually die, so most doctors are inclined to give benzos to ease the symptom, before taking you the asylum or hospital - so if you are not to phased about a new change of location, go for it -

Re: Benzo Prescription myth?
what i do for my benzos/oxys is goto this walk in clinic 10 minutes away from my house
walk in, sign a bunch of forms and shit as if you were getting a cannibus club card wait about 2 hours until he finally sees you, when he comes in the room he just asks whats wrong with you, what do you want and how many, writes a script for 90 roxicodone 30s (i get these personally because they are the cheapest to get filled, dont gel, and are IR) and 45 xanny bars in my case give him $200, get a B12 injection and walk out
most walk ins like that hook you up nice just keep it all simple dont go telling the guy a life story just im in pain and this is what i use to function so write me a script i hand you cash and were all copasetic
only prob is i can only do it once a month but it's all good

It's either a Dr who is soon to be busted for doing shit like that, or he is bullshitting.
A friend of mine knew this Dr where you would drop off a note with what you want - and the money - in a mailbox at night. You then return the next night and the drugs were there. Pretty shady. He finally got popped, of course.

You got quiet a good quick there bro, I suggest that you do not tell ANYONE else about him for obvious reasons, a good quack Dr. can be worth his own weight in gold!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
And to the OP, thats just a real bad idea. You'll get a shot or tablet of a benzo of some kind I'd say for sure, but I highly doubt you'll get a script, and if you do I seriously doubt it'll be more than 15 of whatever the doctor usually prescribes, plus you'll most likely get a note added to your records stating that you are a drug seeker, defiantly not a good thing to have in your medical records
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also benzos are fairly fucking cheap on the street at $0.25USD to $3.00USD depending on the pill/dose, thus IME one usually comes out cheaper buying them off the street. After the gas, doctor bill, price of the script, and even more gas it doesn't come out to much higher, this may change though from person to person considering wither or not they have insurance/SSI/etc.

Re: Benzo Prescription myth?
My ex step dad was a docter who worked around the ER and he said that junkies came all the time saying they were in pain, had a prescription for this or that, and they would have to give it to them, by law.
