When you take such big hits taking two in a row can be very tough, even for the experienced bong hitter. And by the time you go to take the second one, the smoke will probably be stale.

I know how to smoke bong. When you fill the chamber you're not attempting to get your lungs full, just the chamber, then you go to clear it. Someone with large lungs has a capacity of around 4 liters. Many bongs have larger chambers then 4 liters, which is just pointless.

I think you're thinking of women. And non-athletic men. I know men have a higher capacity then women on average, and increases with how active the person is. I played a wind-instrument for the better half of a decade, and I had my capacity tested once, I know it was higher then 4.

My science class last year had everyone test their lung capacity and only a couple of people managed to clear the whole 4 liter bucket. Ironic thing was those people were stoners, and probably used to bonging.
