Loperamide + Ascorbic acid
http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn1794-vitamin-c-could-help-drugs-cross-bloodbrain-barrier.html
So according to this, vitamin C can help drugs cross the BBB. Loperamide (an opioid similiar to demerol) does not cross the BBB in sufficient quantities to produce euphoria or analgesia.
I have a shitload of vitamin C and some loperamide. Going to experiment and see if it will get me atleast a slight opiate buzz.

Yea but how do I make it come out easily, or not become so bulky in the first place.

Re: Loperamide + Ascorbic acid
I dont think its as simple as mixing any drug (let alone any impure compound containing a drug as is the case with a pill) with vitamin C. There's probably a lot precision in it, there is probably a specific way or portion of the ascorbic acid molecule that was added to the drug. Not just mixing the two in solution I would think.
It might work out for you and help out, but try to get everything as pure as can be...ie do a cold water extract on your loperaminde tablets to try and get mostly just pure loperamide in water. Do what you can for the ascorbic acid, but dont know what youd do after mxing that w/water, just hope you've got pure ascorbic acid or mostly ascorbic acid w/a small amount of other things..ie in a Emergen-C vitamin packet. That's still better than even more impure ascorbic acid.

Re: Loperamide + Ascorbic acid
use some common sense
how many people do you think down their anti-shit pills with a tall glass of orange juice? if it had any profound effect it'd be plastered all over the web and news

Re: Loperamide + Ascorbic acid
Loperamide? I don't know about you put 1 pill would stop me up for the day I took it, plus the next day. And this was when I was actually having diarrhea.
I predict this won't do shit besides make you constipated.

Re: Loperamide + Ascorbic acid
i remember a thread a while back on getting this stuff across the BBB though using loperamind mixed in with some sort of nanoparticle... the idea was that it could help sufficient amounts get across, but there were some crazy possible side effects that people thought might happen...

Re: Loperamide + Ascorbic acid
loperamide is really easy to get across the BBB, but you have to have the abiliy to create and infuse nanoparticles.
what were the broader implications of the study?

I posted this before, and DO NOT DO THIS.
I took 200mg (a whole bottle) of loperamide to see if it by itself could penetrate the barrier well enough. There was a theory on the internet was that a few people have tried it (they lied obviously) and that enough loper in the body would cause enough to pass the BBB (becasue loper has no problem scientifically bypassing the BBB it just gets pumped out too fast.
That day was fine. I experienced heavy anagelsia but NO euphoria at all. I was a bit dizzy and swayed from time to time, and outside people told me I was talking a shit load (which I didn't realize) and is normal for opiates to do to me. But no euphoria.
The next day I threw up 10+ times, it was really bad.

Re: Loperamide + Ascorbic acid
I read somewhere that if the loperamide molecule was coated with polysorbate 80 it would then cross the BBB. I dont remember where but i know i read it.

Milk of Magnesium, or Pepto Bismol, a half to whole bottle of either one, prepare for the runs...

Re: Loperamide + Ascorbic acid
I took 200mg (a whole bottle) of loperamide to see if it by itself could penetrate the barrier well enough. There was a theory on the internet was that a few people have tried it (they lied obviously)
I don't think it was as much as a lie as it was just a few lucky select group of people, then first testing out Loperamide the test showed that a small percentage of folks actually reported getting euphoria from Loperamide alone, I don't think they lied, more likely I think it was the simple fact that they for some reason process the drug differently than most people, lucky bastards.
Also I read a interesting post over at Opiophile from a mod named Jacky (who is real into researching new plants and chemicals/alkaloids that are opioid receptor active). He told of a guy who had privately messaged him stating that along with his prescribed CP meds that he was taking large daily doses of Loperamide for potentiating *and for added pain relief*(like 90-100mg daily), if I remember right he was getting high dose Oxycodone/Oxycontin prescribed monthly. Anyways this guy stated that he was having to stop his Loperamide habit because he could no longer afford to keep the 100mg a day habit, and he stated that he already knew it was going to cause him man withdraws. Plus I've read of someone here, and the same exact thing in other places stating that taking 10-16mg doses with tonic water and Quinine tablets that this helps relieve pain, stating that the Quinine/tonic water helps some Loperamide get through the BBB. This brings me to the belief that while Loperamide isn't a incredible drug by any means that it does have the possibility to partially pass the BBB and to cause some euphoria if allowed to pass, also I tend to think that this works better in a small minority of people for unknown biological reasons.
I read somewhere that if the loperamide molecule was coated with polysorbate 80 it would then cross the BBB. I dont remember where but i know i read it.
Right, its said that scientists gave Loperamide coated in polysborbate 80(maybe not the best wording there) intravenously to rats who were then observed showing signs of feeling euphoric.
