I told myself that I was going to try to only focus on myself for a while, but it seems like I have fallen once again. There is a guy in my communications class that I was just drawn to the first day we were in class. I have never talked to him, maybe caught his eye once or twice, and I don't sit near him however I am just attracted to him. So I messaged him through Facebook and he befriended me within hours. We have exchanged hello's and introductions (I guess) through Facebook. In a way I wish that wouldn't have happened because now I fear it is going to be so awkward once we do talk. I want to talk to him after class because we walk the same way to our next classes. How do you not make a situation like this awkward? How do I react on Tuesday when I see him in class? How do I strike up conversation? How do I show him I am interested? I am horrible at this, and apparently so is Facebook.

Whenever a girl from class that I don't really know facebooks me, if I am attracted to her I'll usually send her some kind of message that says "hey if you're as bad at [whatever class it is] as I am, we should study sometime.."

I always get a response back, and then I just suggest meeting at a coffee shop (Panera works best for me because people often study there) to "study." It's a nice setting, not awkward, and if all attempts at conversation fail, you have studying to fall back on.

Even though you are attracted to someone, it doesn`t mean that you have to act on it.

This isn't awkward at all. Lots of people add each other on facebook. This part isn't a big deal. However, if you only ever talk on facebook, that's weird and awkward.

Solution: Just say hey after class. Then you'll have established real life conversation and you can stop with the facebook bullshit. If you're decent looking he's going to respond favorably. I don't know how girls can be so fucking retarded when it comes to this:

1. Just talk to him and keep talking to him before/after each class.
2. Suggest studying
3. Sex
4. Profit

In all seriousness, when a girl initiates with me it makes me happy that I didn't have to do all the fucking work. Yeah, I put myself out there pretty much every single time. If for once I don't have to do that, it's really nice. Plus, who the fuck is going to be rude when you say hi? You'd have to be a real asshole to respond negatively to "hey."

You could start by showing him your boobs.

Seriously though; you're a chick. No chick should ever worry about asking a guy out. If you have a vagina, you're already ten steps ahead in the Dating game.
