Question So, I'm getting married; and need advice.

I never thought I'd be asking TOTSE for relationship advice; but here goes.

My girlfriend (now fiance), is doing what all girls do; and that's confusing the fuck out of their boyfriends.

She keeps telling me she wants a small wedding, with only close friends and family; but when I overhear talking to friends on the phone, on MSN, or wherever, she says the opposite and often talks about elaborate wedding plans, things like cakes, designs, floral shit and what-not.

She also sometimes says that she wants to organize everything, but then the next day she'll come to me all emotional and say she can't handle it and tells me to do it. Then I'll start doing whatever, and she'll say it's all wrong, and then she'll resume doing it all. Only to repeat this exact same process several times per day.

I've sat down with her and talked all this out, and what she says one day is completely different the next. I'll start making inquiries, getting quotes on venues and whatever, and then she'll accuse me of 'controlling' everything. (Her words) but if I do nothing she'll start getting really emotional and saying how I don't love her, and how I don't want it to go ahead.

So, S&A, now that I've told you some of the more psychotic things she's been doing I ask you this; what do I do to keep my sanity? Do I get in a professional wedding planner, let her do everything, or am I supposed to organize everything? According to every movie ever made I'm supposed to let her do everything, but IDK.

What is it about weddings that makes girls go psycho? Like, I'm looking forward to it and everything; but I'm not fretting over it, so why is she? Maybe I just don't get girls.

Is this the sort of thing that resolves itself in the end, or do I have to intervene and get the ball rolling? I'd really rather not get into an argument this early in, but I really have no idea what to do.

Hopefully the post/question makes sense. I think I rambled a bit.

From what I understand this is quite normal.

Chicks are crazy, every single one.

Heh, yeah; I suspected as much. Still, is there anyway of preventing a double homicide/suicide from happening?

Welcome to your future.

You'll find the apathy will kick in fairly quickly.

But seriously, you should probably just stop trying.
