My girl got her lip pierced last Tuesday, She's afraid it will get infected if we kiss, how long until she doesn't have to worry about that? It's not like i'm sucking on the ring or anything, also it looks pretty health right now.

Although it shouldn't get infected if she cleans it every night and takes good care of it.

As long as she keeps it clean she can kiss and give head or whatever. For me it wasn't a problem but I've never had any problems with any of my piercings.

When I got my tongue pierced I wasn't allowed to kiss or drink alcohol or have oral or anything for 2 weeks


I doubt it's as strict with lip piercings when I got mine done I was kissing straight away

I have a lot of mouth piercings and have kissed with all of them in various stages of healing. If this is her first major piercing maybe hold off a little until she's used to cleaning it and whatnot. I've never had a mouth piercing get infected, but I'm very comfortable with the healing process and stuff. Best you can do is be gentle, and if you see it getting extra red or pussy give it a rest.

I kissed normally when I got my lip pierced, and nothing bad came of it. I did get it caught on this girls necklace once though and ripped it halfway out

First thing I did after taking them was having a smoke, then an hour later I went to the pub for a beer and kissed someone 3 days later.

As long as the one you are kissing don`t have open sores or something it is not that big a deal.

The one with the piercing just needs to remember cleaning it thoroughly twice/trice a day and using Listerine after meals.
