REALLY dry, crush up and wash down with water.

I used to like 'em fresh, straight from the soil to my stomach lining.

fresh, if possible. but the picking seasons havent been great lately. so dried seems to be the option available. but man, eating them in a peanut butter and nutella sandwich is so good . . .

Per gram, yes, per mushroom, probably not.

Dry, because thats my favorite way to eat them.

I use a coffee grinder to powder 4-7 grams, then I mix that in with a tall glass off fruit juice and chug. It doesn't taste bad at all and you don't have to chew on some nasty ass mushrooms (I hate eating any mushrooms for some reason). It only takes about 10 seconds to consume your desired amount of shrooms.

Also, the come up is WAY quicker, and IMO it helps get rid of that awkward feeling you get 30-40 minutes after munching. It also makes the peak and entire experience more intense.

However it does make the trip end sooner... unless you potentate upon the peak. Recently I tried doing a small line of ketamine just as the peak was ending, and it prolonged it for an hour. Nitrous is also good for making the peak last longer.

What's wrong with just throwing a few freshly picked shrooms in a blender with some juice? No one likes to do that?

Smoothies and milkshakes numb your mouth and help cover up that horrible shroomy taste. Juice works well, but ice+juice works better.

My favorite:

5-6 strawberries
1.5c of ice
3 tbsp of sugar
1tbsp of lemon juice
ground up mushrooms

puree in a blender and sip it down. Great in the summer at the pool

actually it's the other way around. most people dry with heat involved and this kills the fun chemicals that make the couch funny. fresh ones straight from the incubator will be the most potent but not all of us have that luxury.

I've never had fresh ones, but I imagine that they're worse than dry. I usually just put them on top of a hamburger and make sure to chew thoroughly...

fyi i wouldn't recomend buying fresh by weight really, like 90 percent of the weight is water.

Id like to try them on a burger but would the cheese or mayo or what not fuck it up or something? Ive only had them once and they were dried but I liked the taste alright.
I talked to this dude, he been in a wheelchair for a couple years and will be for the rest of his life from falling off a bridge and breaking pretty much everything. Anyways he said when he eats wet ones his legs go crazy and do knots and shit.

I find dry less confusing and more gentle a come up, and just generally better. Fair enough, I have only tripped on raw shrooms once, and it was years ago, but I have little desire to do so again (in fact, I have next to no desire to do mushrooms again for the foreseeable future, but still...).

Maybe they're technically less potent dried, but if done well, the difference is negligible, and the effects can be preferable to some. Plus, they need to be dried to store and stuff, anyway...

Fresh if I can get them right from the source. With dry shrooms I like to chop them up and make a PB and shroom sammich.

I dunno man, i've had some strange, horrible, amazing, profound, mind blowing, spiritual..... crazy experiences on mushrooms.

In 2 1/2 years or so, I took them.... 9 or 10 times? That included a break of 14 months or so when I didn't have any, and then the past summer when I had 75g dried which i'd acquired, and had some nuts times with friends, on.

I have dosed from like 2g odd to almost 7g (mixed with 100mg-ish of MDMA) and with many drugs, I feel I "progress" quite fast. Mushrooms have seriously affected my mindset and outlook on life... sure, it's changed normally, but boy, they have opened my mind more to my position in the world, universe, society.... my potentials, my failures and bad experiences.... all sorts of stuff. I have tripped in my bed room and listened to a strings orchestra album on repeat for 6 hours, whilst sliding down the side of my bed and focusing totally on the visuals and the mindset (my first trip), run 2-3 miles across a city in 40 minutes scared pretty shitless, sat in sunshine and felt euphoria truly beyond almost everything with my best friend, laughed at a kid falling over on a tricycle (:D), walked along a main road tripping, sat on this stone (http://www.megalithic.co.uk/a558/a312/gallery/England/Gloucestershire/Threecounties.JPG) starting to peak, ridden over a forest of red, beautiful, amazing leaves in autumn on a bike, as they crunched, crackled and radiated energy that left me grinning and laughing uncontrollably. I have biked down a huge fucking grassy hill tripping my tits off, and down a road with cars, weaving all over the place in the dark whilst stopping to comment with a friend about how the "road looks like a dinosaur's neck...", I have smoked salvia and done nitrous and popped into crazy dimensions (voids?) when on shrooms, I have learnt nothing is real, and yet everything is, I have despaired, I have been reborn, I have had moments in job interviews where a sonic wooshhhhh just embraces me, and the mushroom voice yells "NOTHING IS REAL, REALLY" and internally I crack up and have to remind myself that life is srs bsns......

Oh, i've seen the clouds part, and reform, and swirl into amazing shapes, i've seen every colour i've ever seen in my life radiating out of the leaves of a tree whilst lying in the dirt on my back, I have been Shpongle'd, I have read William Blake and felt moved to tears, I have run around a cow field and watched a friend yelling at cows, I have felt that golden energy that tells you to truly live life to its fullest, and got lost in dark woods after running into a private birthday party for 40-50 year olds, yelling loudly and with pupils the size of saucers. I've got separated from a friend on the 7g trip, coming up on MDMA, and wandered around trying to work out why he went running into a bramble bush.... I have questioned the very existence of my name, and how it defines me... Oh, and i've beaten up a tree.....

Haha, seriously, this is just a list, and i'm not going off on one huge description of any single trip - shrooms themselves are the trip really, and I feel like I have learnt my lessons. Taking them again is pushing something which I cannot explain, and taking me into the darker emotions of shrooms, which hung over my later trips. I think i've "messed up" some areas of my mind at points with shrooms, i've also gained profound joy and hope through them..... they're a mixed bag, and one that seriously respect, but I need no more. I need a loooooong break from shrooming, I know i'll feel it if i'm ready to trip again. Until then.... we shall see.

I guess after an Indian deity, fresh out of an Alex Grey picture envelops your very being as you close your eyes, beckons with a "hand" which turns into a foetus, looping through the circle of life and then imploding in a ball of energy...... it takes a bit to top it. Psychedelics are a tool to learn from - I have learnt I no longer need them at this stage in my life, instead, I need to address what they have already taught me, some lessons which are still sinking in, after 2 1/2 years, and shit, there's a potential lifetime ahead.

I've rambled so much here, my experiences aint been out of the norm, or even that exciting according to some, but damn, they've shaped me! Writing this post has put things into perspective a little more, even....

Push your luck with mushrooms and they can kick your ass, there is something they unleash within your emotions which really controls the trip. I'm not going to ramble on about the "Mushroom spirit" or any of that crap, but there is a definite vibe at the heart of the trip, which ebbs and flows as the trip progresses. I've ridden the waves anyway, and now i'm going to live my life in this crazy, wonderful world. At any moment, everything can feel like a dream, a delusion, a blindfold..... i've had the "nothing is real!" thoughts, and through that..... it's shown me how real everything truly is (it doesn't last though.... but shit, nothing's been lost! ;)).

I'm sure I'm right. Lots of people say things on here without 'proof' simply because they know. If people choose not to believe what I say then that's not my problem, all I can do is offer my knowledge.. If you look it up I'm sure you could find out for yourself though why you don't want to eat psylociben mushrooms before they're dried.

around here they're usually ground up and mixed into chocolate. it's quite tasty, the tiny bits of mushrooms add a nice texture but no real taste to the chocolate.

I've only ever had dried, really don't mind the taste. A minute or so of slight ickyness is well worth the trip.

The high from fresh just seems different. Fresh give me less stomach discomfort and they kick in much faster. Last time I had them fresh (rare to get them fresh here) the high was comparable to mdma. I guess it's the fact that theres lots of dissolved psilocin that can hit your blood stream quickly.
