I went out with the plan that I was going to ask 50 girls at the local mall for their numbers in different ways. I wanted to see what worked, what didn't, and what sort of responses I could get. This is what I learned.

On this day, Valentines day, theres only 2 types of girls actually out in a social setting like the mall. Hateful ones who are spiteful that they don't have a date on V-day, or girls that are out of my range for whatever reason. Could be too young, too old, or just too ugly/fat. Now I'm no catch myself, but I do take care of myself. Someone who doesn't it tends to say something about their personality. But back to the point.

From what I found out, and yes, I took notes, is that just about any holiday is a bad time to try and pick up girls. Also taking notes makes them uncomfortable. One asked me if I was writing a book about her, I said yes.

Moral of the story, trying to get numbers on a holiday stacks the odds against you. Wait for a few days.

Yeah, I was in a pretty uncaring mood. It wasn't full on notes, just short hand. Oh and it wasn't with every girl I talked too. After I wierded the one out, I stopped taking the notes in front of them.

Go to the bars. They're going to be full of lonely girls with low self esteem

Holidays are the best times to get girls. Just look at christmas parties. Valentines is the same way. There are a couple of bars here that are doing a valentines singles night. Can you even fathom an easier environment to get laid?

Weddings.

Maybe it was the place and not the time, or a combination of both. I'll try a different place next time.

I love my job. I'm a banquet bartender. 80% of our buisness is weddings. The rest is buisness meetings, birthdays, and christmas parties. And they're always drunk.
