| Better Living Through Chemistry Discussions of any and all sorts of mind-warping chemicals, pills, booze, mind machines, trippy stuff, current street prices, importing pharmaceuticals, smart drugs, nutrients, herbs, and altered states. Cross tolerance between Oxycodone and Morphine
Well, the two opiates i have begun to abuse have been oxy and codeine (which i guess is converted to morphine in the brain hence my title). Seeing as i know almost nothing about opes and brain chemistry, i was wondering, seeing as they both act on "opiate receptors", is there a cross tolerance between them? Ive been using oxy a decent bit, couple times a week, but i havent done codeine for a few weeks and i hope that it wont be affect.
And please no one tell me "theres no tolerance from a couple times a week" because i do know in fact i have a tolerance. Purely academic answers would be appreciated.

Re: Cross tolerance between Oxycodone and Morphine
there is a notable cross tolerance between all drugs that affect the mu-opioid receptors (all recreational opiates).

Re: Cross tolerance between Oxycodone and Morphine
I'd assume that your tolerance for opes. is affected when you take any opiates and will be a factor when taking any other opiates...if that's what your asking. I'm not entirely sure as I am hypothetically really fucked up.
