Drug crimes and prison time
I really enjoy watching the prison shows (mainly lockup on NBC). The most I've ever done is a few days in jail for a possession (pot) charge, but for some reason those shows always make me appreciate my freedom.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knows anyone in prison (or who has been in prison) for a drug related charge. It seems like everytime I see one of these shows they only interview serial killers, rapists, ect (probably because it's good for tv). I'm sure there's people locked up for distributing and shit, but I'd like to know of some experiences that people have had or know about.
I only know a few people in an actual prison (not jail). One is for theft and assault, he's been in for two years and gets out early next year (hopefully). The other four people I know are all in for a DUI charge. They all got completely hammered, one tried to drive the rest home and hit an old guy's car and ended up killing him. The four of them all claimed that they were so drunk that they couldn't remember who was driving. The judge thought they were all lying (they probably were) and gave them all the maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.
Anyone else have any interesting stories?

Re: Drug crimes and prison time
i know of a kidiot that ended up getting 10 years...
started with a cocaine, and parphenillia charge. while on probation, popped again for pot. gets bailed out, steals $5k in cash and another $10k in valuable's from his adoptive parents/family. they nail him on the larceny charge. prior to going to court, steals a car and goes out on a rampage. they finally nab him, again with coke, and oh more stolen goods on the way to the pawnshop.

WOW! That's one hell of a rant! Is he an adult now or is all of that going on his record as a minor? The way you put it, it would seem like they treated him as an adult after all of that.
