Long story short, about 2 months ago me and my friends were fucking around and we 'borrowed' a four-wheeler and a suburban SUV.

About only one month ago, I was arrested and I had to spend the weekend in Juvie (I'm 17).

It's been about a month now. I got the papers and they changed my charges from Grand Theft to just Burglary, or temporarily disabeling the owner of the vehicles from them, since we actually returned the suburban, and we were PLANNING on returning the four-wheeler but we ran off when a cop spotted us.

so in total, I have about three counts of burglary and one of Joyriding, I guess because I admitted to throwing shit out the window while in the SUV.

I'm hoping they'll just put me on probation, considering that I'm not all out of control and shit and I don't actually need to be put in juvie. I noticed that when I WAS in juvie, the kids that had to stay there were the ones that were violating their probation, running away, being a nuisance and what not.

Does anyone else have and expirence with this? What's the worst that could happen?

If they wanted you in juvy, you wouldn't have left. Just don't fuck up and you won't go back. Just fly under the radar while the other kids on your Probation officer's roster fuck up.

Yeah I doubt you will go to juvi as long as you dont fuck up anymore. I know people who have done worse, (people 17 like you) and only got put on probation. They fucked up even more after that with marijuana multiple times and still did not get juvi.

I would say your fine.

The worst that could happen is juvie, but I doubt it. Just dress up nicely for court and be respectful. You'll probably get probation, fine, and maybe community service.

I'm about to leave in about 30 minutes. I'm dressed up and everything, tie, slacks, the works.

Alright well I have to go back for sentancing in March... Sometime soon someone is going to come to my house to interview me to get the 'big picture' of who I am so they can better judge my sentance. So basically they gotta come to find out what I deserve based on my home and school life and what not. But I'm making pretty decent grades and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get this job here pretty soon as well.

But anyway, one of my friends, who isn't much of a friend anymore, well his family got a lawyer. so me and my dad are kinda freakin' out, like what if he tries to dump his charges on me and say it was all my fault. But theres no real way he can, because the shit we stole was recovered from HIS house.

But anyway, As long as this interview goes good, whenever they come to do that, then I should be ok.

but this whole thing is a pain in the ass. Lemme' tell you, if you're gonna run around at 3am and jack shit from cars and what-not like I used to, AT LEAST do it alone. because friends will fuck you over.

Ahhh, you got assigned a pre-sentencing report. This is a very good thing. It means you probably havn't been in much trouble with the law before. This is the time to suck up to your teachers, your boss and your parents. These sorts of people are all going to be asked about you and what they say will affect how bad your sentence is. Sounds gay, but it's how it goes.

I gotta go to court on burglary charges the cops told me January 10. I haven't heard shit since then. What the fuck is going on? How long does it usually take to find out a court date?
