Possible nerve damage. Any advice?
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 18 years old (About 4 years ago).
A few days ago I began experiencing what seems like nerve damage in my feet. It basically follows what i've been told and read on the subject. The bottom of my feet feel like i'm walking on hot coals and it feels like I am being poked with hot pins over the top of my feet down to the tips of my toes. I'm planning on going to the doc a little later today.
I'd like to know from anyone with experience with vitamins and supplements if there are any options that will help me in dealing with this shit. Are there any supplements that help in the area of the central nervous system? I'm hoping to get some goodies from the doc to help me deal with the discomfort/pain but im expecting him to give me something like neurontin(Gabapentin). Has anyone with a similar problem gotten anything different prescribed to them?
Appreciate the help BLTC.

Re: Possible nerve damage. Any advice?
Going to the doc like you said is really the only thing to do. This could be a very serious issue, or it couldn't be anything too major. They make special socks for diabetics that allow better circulation to your feet, so something as simple as that could be the problem.
However, I have heard of cases where diabetics who experience this go on without getting it looked at and ended up having to get amputation surgery.
So yeah, go see that Doc.

Re: Possible nerve damage. Any advice?
This is off topic, but it may possibly have something to do with nerve damage:
There was one time in the summer that I had done 40cccs two nights in a row
When I came to the next day I couldn't feel any of my body
I had to actually watch where I placed my feet to make sure I wouldn't just fall over
My entire body was 100% numb, and I was pretty sketched out but it went away gradually in 36 hours
anyone know if this was possible nerve damage or just my punishment for being stupid enough to do that many cccs in such a short amount of time?
