This sounds like bollocks to me
This is not about anonymous raids. Please do not post about that here.
Prozac-type drugs increase birth risks, study finds
ANDRÉ PICARD
From Thursday's Globe and Mail
Women who take a popular class of antidepressants during pregnancy have a higher risk of birth complications, according to a new Canadian study. The research shows that women who take selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors - SSRIs, a class of drugs that includes big-selling brand names such as Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft -- are at increased risk of having a fetus who dies, experiencing premature delivery, giving birth to an underweight baby and seeing their newborn have seizures.
...?
I was reading about the 'Silent Birth' thing on the cos website, to see if it had any bones to its body.
The above pasted text was linked from this same page. I have read it all and can understand their point of view, but I really think the pressure would make some people crack. Also, this chap is talking like he has had millions of babies personally, like its all just a walk in the park. There is even a sister organisation that is called 'Birth Without Violence' (http://www.ecoaction.org/dt/bwv1.html)
Mr. Hubbard also recommended:
“It is a remarkable fact...that the healthiest children come from the happiest mothers. Birth, for one thing...is a very mild affair. ... A happy woman has very little trouble.”
!
I'm just throwing this at you. Thoughts?

Re: This sounds like bollocks to me
Even if some kinds of medication can lead to birth complications, so can (and studies have shown) coffee, sleeping wrong, eating spicy foods etc etc etc.
I doubt the validity of most studies, even more so when it comes to things like that.

This user almost got an infraction for posting mass 'cock' pictures. If he followed suit, he would have got an infraction as well.
Anyway, my philosophy is that while a woman is pregnant, she should just eat straight up healthy. That is how we evolved. Caveman (in this case cavewomen) weren't poppin' Prozac when they were knocked up.

My god do you have to be stupid to spam a thread made by a mod...
On topic, that sounds reasonable to me, if a tiny bit extreme. A lot can affect, positively or negatively, a developing fetus, and the prescription drugs these days are heavy hitters, so to speak, as far as effects and stupid side effects. A fetus, perhaps weighing 1-3 lb, recieving a good portion of a serious dose made for an adult weighing upwards of 50 times as much doesn't seem like it would have zero effect on said fetus.

Re: This sounds like bollocks to me
As a man with a huge ego himself, I'm always quite offended when another male of my species gets on a serioius rant with any tone of "expertise" when the issue of "childbirth" comes up. The mind numbingly insolent arrogance having the audacity to spew "knowledge" of something we as men will never ever experience. Not carrying a kid, not the hormonal changes, and certainly not the horror/difficulty of childbirth itself.
To make anti-chick jokes all inthe spirit of lulz is one thing.....but to prattle on like this for real? With a straight face as those words are coming out of HIS lips? Ya can't even classify this "man" (term used loosely) as arrogant or condescending.......he's just plain stupid.
