Any of you users ever feel like you in a seperate world/dimention then other people?
This is hard for me to explain or put down in writing... I'll try my best though.
Only a few of my friends agree w/ me on this, the rest just say I'm dumb/junkie comments.
This may be do to my bipolar/manic depressive disorder but it is directly related to drugs and nothing else so I'll give it a shot.
Alot of the time (the wide majority of the time) I feel like I live in a seperate reality then regular people. Everything seems to be based around getting fucked up. Almost all my thoughts and goals are concentrated on this motion, and everything else I do that seems productive in life just has a hidden meaning behind it that is in/directly related to getting high.
For example, my full time job may look like I'm trying to be a productive member of society, but I just do it for the money to spend on drugs.
Going to a psiciatrist may look like I'm trying to help out my emotional problems, but I am just doing it for the medications I can abuse.
Having a GF may look like I'm trying to form intimate relationships, but (she isn't my gf but parents think so) she is just a junkie that lets me use her drugs (I like her too tho).
etc.
My life and a few of my friends lives feels so much different then the normies. Like we are literally different beings. There is not much emotion based around anything else except getting high. It feels fucked up and wrong, but that doesn't even matter in the end. Drug use is always justifyed when it comes down to it, and always worth it.
Does that make sence?

I feel like i'm in another world, when i blaze up before i go to school. I get off the bus, put on my massive headphones and chill to some smooth beats, and its still another 1km of churches, skyscrapers, people walking past, smells and sunshine. :)

Sorry dude you are not living in some wacky different reality. What you described hardly constitutes a different reality anyway. At best it's a pattern of behaviour. At worst an admission that you have nothing else to live for than getting fucked up. You live in the same fucking world as everyone else. Don't forget this.

Yes, you are a pathetic shell of a human being. Your life is absolutely meaningless. You live to please your self destructive nature by what you perceive to be enjoyable means. You have no hope for the future because you can't imagine breaking out of the limitations you've set for yourself.
Did I miss anything?

Me? The only drug I've done in the past 3 months is alcohol, and that wasn't very often.
Otherwise, I admit that I am pretty lazy and don't do much, I don't have the right to look down on people.
Unless they're people like you. Presumptious little shit, what would you have done if I didn't admit to being lazy?

Oh yeah like that's getting back on topic. Why don't you go get back on top of your mum.
Also, big deal about university man. It's how you do when you get there that counts. I know, I've been there. Anyway claiming 'I'm going to university in a year' sounds pretty lame, like a fat little kid saying 'You just wait man I'll get you one day, you just wait another year and I'll be giving you a wedgie'. Are you overweight? Also I sure as hell hope you are taking some sort of english course at 'univerity'.

And?
Do you feel like you're better than me now? Like you're smarter? More intelligent? That you overcame obstacles and persevered, and now hold it over me like I should respect you? That you're stronger willed than I? That your life somehow gains meaning because you can sit and talk shit about the economic class you will occupy in the future? That I should stand in awe and gawk at the presence of some lowly dipshit's ill conceived goal?
I don't give a FUCK. I look down on you because you're a petty hypocritical little cunt. Go spend your time working for goals you can barely value.
For the record, I'm not doing shit. Still, somehow I feel I'll achieve more than you. Maybe it's because you've presented yourself as an ignorance embracing goon.

@ ed, not completely sure. 2 episodes of psychosis within a year is all that's for sure. Then you got the speculation of personality disorders, GAD, clinical depression and possible bipolar. Yes, my brain has FUCKED me over haha.
Back on the original topic, me and some other people i hang out with feel completely detached from the daily run of things, hard to explain, but i feel like i'm stuck in a bubble is my best analogy :P

i skimmed through, but i think i got the basis of the OP's point, so i'll throw in my two cents...
users, included those who still, quit a while ago, etc have a different stream of conciousness than those who have never before and relate to eachother easier than with nonusers.
nonusers, well i can't say much about them. sense this is BLTC they have no defense here..

Yeah lol I just don't understand the way the world works. I get how to succeed in it it's just why?
Think about it, you are trained, in a CLASS. You sit in front of a low paid person who doesn't know why any better than you do. SO that you may get a job afterwards so you can make money!
If there was no such thing as money, like, basically all of your shit was taken care of, I wonder how life would be?
Plus love.. oh that is wild too. Anyway I think about shit like that a lot so yeah I guess I feel different for questioning it all.

Re: Any of you users ever feel like you in a seperate world/dimention then other people?
meh, your probably just turning into a druggie IMO
i mean, alot of guys will just start revolving their life around drugs, and thats it. and it is kinda sad because they dont usually see what else is there.
bah, but im not saying i havent been there before. but shit, i dont at all feel like im part of reality, nothing to do with some secret world and im like a fucking daywalker of the drugcommunity more like, theres no way in hell any of this is seriously happening and i dont at all understand a bit of it but in the same way do
psychosis does some fucked up shit to you o.o
anyway, yea whenever i smoke it does feel like your in your own space, but eh, i look at it more like im looking at the world instead of being in it. odd i know, but meh past that i dont think of me having my own special drug world
no not that at all...

Re: Any of you users ever feel like you in a seperate world/dimention then other people?
Reality is all the illusion you make it out to be, different beliefs, daily regiments etc. or just how you view things are different than everybody elses. You react to things differently, value different things....And you can also make yourself believe in things that aren't there (aka crazy). But we will never know which reality is right so be yourself, make your own decisions, don't let people mold you into you, make yourself. Their path may be tried and true but do you want to live the life somebody else has lived?
And this I think characterizes a "different world". What people may think of as paranoid delusions may, in fact turn out to be right in the end. I'm not saying be stubborn and make blind decisions, but to use discretion, evaluate what others are telling you.
Sorry, sorta off/on topic.
And to Fedsintown, The things we value, money, houses etc. are just things implemented into us since birth. We don't have to value these, we could go out into the woods and stay away from it all but it's like a trap...like it's impossible to get out of. I don't know, I'm racking my brain thinking of a better way of living, or raising children. We are all just cattle raised to act accordingly, if not we are shunned. We aren't cattle to the close ones around us but in our economy we are just being raised to provide "meat" for the larger animal.

Re: Any of you users ever feel like you in a seperate world/dimention then other people?
Wow, 80% of this had nothing to do with the topic, maybe I should have posted this over at DF.
I probally shouldn't have used the word dimention, I was trying to emphasize my point.
"Secret society" would be a better term as someone has already said. Even if drugs were completley legal I wouldn't feel any different. I feel like a completley different person sence the first time I ever felt high (and that was alcohol) and have felt like a different person after using a new drug everytime. Even if I use alot of the same drug I feel different and changed after waking up.
I'm not saying this is bad, or negative.
Some people go through life (like some posted in this thread) thinking that "hey I'm successful because I go to school, have a part time job, and am going to get a fucking great job after school yo." and measure their success by the amount of money they will earn or are currently earning.
Well I make about a grand a month and get straight A's as a 17 year old. To anyone who doesn't know my drug use, patterns, behaviors and history, I seem like a very successful person according to this standard.
I've decided to say FUCK THE STANDARD, I'm going to measure myself anyway I want.
I've decided to measure my personal standards by my drug use and responsibility w/ it. The moar drugs I use and the moar people I do not hurt are added in a math equation to equate my level of personal success. Anyone who judges me about this, I don't care.
Last week I was very successful. I used drugs every day, did not smoke pot once, drank alcohol a few times and didn't hurt anyone (accept for a cigarette I burnt into the whole of my brothers house in his bathroom when I was fucked up on accident, that was pretty messed up). Two weeks ago I used about 3 times and managed to make 3 mistakes. That was an unsuccessful week.
This is a new week. I have not gotten high today, I made some money, I had sex w/ my girl and actually didn't loose my erection, and I worked out. Is that success? Possibly. I don't care though. Not my thing.

After cleaning my shit up, and then getting back into the drug game i can see what you mean. I feel it too, but generaly i think that if i go chill with some people who dont do drugs a lot or anymore i feel drawn back into the "normal" world.

I think if your life does not revolve around it, but you say, look forward to each time you get high, I don't think that's a really bad thing.
And things like acid, shrooms, DMT, and other tryptamines used as a life enhancer can be really really good for you. I think if a person has not tried acid in their lifetime, they are really missing out, and I feel sorry for them.
However when your life revolves around things like coke, meth, H, oxy, etc I think then you really have a problem.

Nope. I'm in the same universe as everyone else.
I think that you just feel like you're ostracized. Makes sense, not having any friends and all...
Heh, just kidding. I know what you're talking about though. When I was heavily using DXM one summer (yeah yeah, DXM sucks, etc etc. Calm the fuck down, I was 14), I was in this wierd headspace all the time, kind of like what you're talking about.
I didn't like it, nor did I ever enjoy any aspect of DXM after that summer, so I stopped using it. Everything got better.
