So Newline is working on a new sequel to the original Nightmare and are saying they're going to use someone different for Krueger. What? Why? Englund is Krueger there's no one else who can play him that well. They're actually considering that nutball Crispin Glover for the role. I don't want some sissy boy junkie playing Freddy, i want this creepy motherfucker Englund to play it, dammit!

So yeah, I'm a fan of the series, can you tell?

Englund is right to say no, I wish they wouldn't make it and just leave the older stuff and alone and actually come up with something new and great for once (No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood were amazing although), and if they do go ahead and make I hope it goes straight to video.

After the shitfest that was Freddy vs Jason, I can't really understand why they'd want to make a new movie at all. Maybe just to redeem themselves, but I don't see it ending well. Englund will probably be really glad he stayed out of it.

im a big nightmare fan and would personally LOVE to see rob zombie re-do nightmare 1 with his ridiculously sadistic style... he did such a great job with halloween id think hed be a given for this project, if thats the direction theyre going(remake of the first) and he has any interest...

if he could just tone down the campy girly parts(like the 3 girls in Halloween) and find someone who could do krueger justice, itd be fucking fantastic...

The thing about the new halloween is that Rob ruined Michael Myers. Mike was this creepy stalky motherfucker who killed a few people but so shockingly it made the movie good. In the new Halloween, hes turned into a jason with a shorter weapon. But, it was still a good movie, and i would like to see Zombie try his hand at it.

I am a huge Nightmare on Elm Street fan. The Freddy fan in me writes this off immediately. Can you imagine how BAD it's going to be,CRINGE WORTHY,when the "new" Freddy does his signature maniacal laugh?

It doesn't make any sense to do it with anyone but Englund. It's not like Jason or Myers where you just see a mask.

I'm sure the bottom line is money. You know,like it usually is when all the good stuff gets ruined. Just add Nightmare on Elm Street to the list of movies ruined for money along with Star Wars and American Pie.

Also,my favorite in the series is part 2 and i'm sure I stand alone with that one. I just thought it was cool as hell. It was when he still was tearing shit up,but with more special effects and could fuck people over outside of the dream world.

my fav nightmare was 4 (probably tied with 1 if im being honest)... not sure why but it stands out for some odd reason...

I remember some time ago, some dead beat piece of shit suburb kid did his half- assed attempt to mock/ in direct bullshit cause of the intro song... but don't worry, he is infact, suburbanized, dead beat piece of shit, and carbon based who will die angry, and alone.
