If you did this to me (not saying I take money for sex or anything, just hypothetical haha) I'd send collectors after you. Most whores carry weapons and shit too, because they anticipate this situation. You will get your ass kicked, and they will take ALL your money.

I think most of you guys are misinterpreting... I'm assuming he means you offer $500 to someone who ISN'T an actual whore (and hence wouldn't have criminal connections) but who would be tempted by the money. Then, when you don't give it to her, she would theoretically have no form of redress (because acknowledging you were supposed to give her money would make her a prostitute, which also makes your verbal agreement non-binding).

However, as someone said, there are many ways she could get back at you... she could claim rape, for one. And, in some states, there actually is a thing called "sex under false pretences"--i.e. if you lie to someone intensely enough in an effort to have sex with them ("I'll give you the part in the movie if you have sex with me... NOT") then they actually can convict you criminally. She might also be able to claim you robbed her... "he took my $500!" (never telling the police it was never hers in the first place).

It's unlikely anything would happen to you, but you'd better be prepared to show the money if you think someone is going to believe your offer--and whenever the money's on the table, there's always a risk someone will just steal it during or after sex.

You don't need to be a 'real whore' to have criminal connections. I know plenty of people who would be willing to collect for me, especially if I gave them a cut of what they were collecting.
