I have script for 5mg hydrocodone/500 mg APAP and another for 30 mg codeine/300 mg APAP. I don't notice really any difference in painkilling properties between the two.

I have two questions if anyone can answer them or give me links:

1. How much stronger is hydrocodone than codeine in a mg comparison? 3x? 5x? More?

2. What is a safe amount of APAP to consume every day?

1. I dunno, codeine doesn't do jack shit for me and a lot of people, even at 350 mg. Might have to do with a deficiency in my liver or something.
2. It's generally recommended not to exceed 2000mg in a day. I wouldn't really worry too much until about 3000+. You might as well do a cold water extraction though.

the official statement is that you should not take more than 4g of APAP in 24 hrs.

I'm not sure how much stronger Vicodin is..and it's too early for me to actually use Google or Erowid to find the answer for you.

If you're using it everyday, try and keep it between 2000 and 3000 is all I'd say. It's really variable since the liver can sometimes take a shit load of a beating and still be perfectly fine. It's really hard to judge though. I've always stayed under 3000mg at one time and the only time I ever used opiates everyday I was only getting in about 1500 - 2500mg. That was for about a month I'd say. Ughh codeine just never does it.
