I've researched the harmful dosages of acetaminophen and have come to find out that no more than 4 grams daily should be taken and that doses of over 10 grams can cause liver toxicity.

My question to you is: when should I start doing cwe's on opiates? What are safe doses for occasional use? If more than the afore mentioned dosage is taken what happens?

I've searched the boards and wiki and google and that's the only info I could come up with.

you can probably go ahead and take 5g of APAP in one day if it were really just every once in awhile.

That's for a one time dosage?^^

ya, I've been fine with this in the past. I took 8 Vicodin 5/500's, 3 Benadryls (375mg APAP/pill), and some Robotussin to poteniate. That comes out to 5.125g actually. Just don't make a habit of it. The 4g is there to make sure that people don't hurt themselves, so of course it's bound to be overly cautious and it's for daily usage (i think).

The liver is a very resilient organ and (given some time) can heal itself quite well. Just yesterday I took around 6-7 percs in a rather short time frame and I'm fine today. In fact, i'm planning on doing the same thing as last night as we speak. The best advice is to avoid taking any other Acet. products while dosing up on opiates. Use a potentiation formula and just pace yourself...you shouldn't have too many problems.

I'm usually more worried about how many cigs. I smoke while i'm on opiates than I am about the APAP inside the pills themselves.

i have at one time taken 15grams of apap at one time. this was before i knew about cwe. i was in like 9th grade. felt kind of shitty the next day.

A couple of beers shouldn't be too hard on your liver..as long as you arent planning on getting close to the lethal dose.

I've had over ten grams in me when i was 15 and i didnt even get sick.
