Default The effects of THC on behavior question

So i been smoking pretty consistently since 9th grade and I'm now a Senior. Well now my parents decide to start drug testing me every 2 weeks so i had to quit. Now that i have quit, im constantly in a bad mood and it doesn't take much to get me that way. I'm an overall worse person to be around, where as before i would never get mad and i'm not talking about just when i'm high. It seems my mind is just in an overall better mood when there is thc present in my system. How the fuck am i suppose to be happy? I was wondering since thc was in my system through my main growing years (14-18) that it will be impossible to achieve the same day-today-day mood i was in the past few years without thc. Are there any studies that prove what i'm trying to say?

I should just say fuck it and light one up now, but i got a drug test in a week and if i fail i start losing some of the assets my parents provide for me.

Well i don't know if before you started smoking weed you were pleasant to be around. Weed just makes you a delightful person. Did you do something wrong to make your parents start testing you? Tell them to fuck off and light one up aswell, because these parents now drug testing their kids for FUCKING WEED is the dumbest thing.

You might try taking 1000 mg of DL-Phenylalanine in two 500 mg doses daily on an empty stomach, it's good for depression, mood stabilization, and reducing cravings for altered states. It also helps relieve pain, as it is an enkephalase inhibitor, meaning it increases concentration of enkephalins--the bodies equivalent of morphine.

Stopping anything you love to do and make a habit of doing all the time will make you a pretty pissed off, unpleasant person. But, if you keep yourself busy (and I mean BUSY) you won't notice it quite as much. The cravings do go away, though it can take 6 weeks or more for that to happen.

Hell yeah i got all fucking A's and B's last semester when i was toking up every day. And marijuana actually gives me motivation. It's not really about being high all the time, just having thc in my system makes me a happier person.

The good grade thing should help you a lot. Just try to relax and explain to them that school, work, w/e is more important to you then mj. Explain to them how it affects your life in not one negative way. Hell when I have kids I'm not gonna give a damn how high they get <weed,> as long as they keep their grades up.

Millions do it w/o weed... I'm sure you'll live.

You're body isn't used to constantly being sober. It's a normal reaction. It'll go away within time once you get used to being sober.

I too have the same problem right now...

It's just...everything is so much better when I am high. Nothing bad happens. It's like they tell me it's throwing my life away but I'm like "STFU all it's doing is making my life better".

I know this isn't what you want to here
but what your describing is what a health teacher would call an addiction or some other shit.
Too bad you can't get ibugain
well think of what your feeling now as a trip.
and being high is sober.
in other words
turn a negative into a positive.
the human mind is an amazing thing.
tell us how it works out.

Just crush up the weed in a grinder, and rail it.

Doesn't show up in drug tests that way, and you get just as wrecked. Just try not to choke on it.

If that doesn't work, plug it.

I smoked for a while when i was younger and then i quit after i turned 18 to play sports and i definitely missed gettin high. Sometimes i would be in bad moods, but i found that if you just go do shit and get plenty of nicotine or alcohol or both and stay busy you can stay sane and actually not thinking of gettin high. It helps to be in trouble and when you do think of it know you can't do it, but it is possible. Doesn't seem like it now, but somehow i didn't smoke for almost a year. Part placebo effect part habit, weed gets your mind right. Without it you gotta find other ways.

It's called the power of the human mind.

Take those people who walk across coals and whatnot. It's a scientific fact prayer helps people recover significantly faster than those who don't pray. You think the god they're praying to is actually helping them and making them heal faster? No. It's the positive energies their brains are releasing that help the body.

Bottomline, what are you experiencing is 100% natural. Think back to when you were a little kid. (Even if you had the worst shittiest childhood ever known to man) There were some times you were laughing, carefree and overall loved life, even if you didn't fully comprehend it. You lived happily as a child and today is no different.

My friend quit smoking for personal reasons (It made him slow, and unable to coherently talk to females) and it took him about 9 months to a year to get back to his normal frame of mind.

I do know this...If you can't stop smoking, you're addicted. You may not want to stop smoking, but it's not like it'll be forever, right? Just stop smoking until you move out of your parent's house. Then if you still feel like smoking, smoke all you want.

Truly think about it though...do you actually need a fucking substance to be happy? That is fucking retarded. Just as stupid as people who need material objects to be happy. I have a theory about people being obsessed with material possessions to fill the inherent void in their life. The same hole that drives people to ask the questions why we're here, what our purpose is, etc.

Yes, people can walk across coals because of positive mental energies.

Well I don't have cravings for the stuff and i have taken breaks before no problem.....i know im not addicted. It's just nice to smoke out every once in awhile. My parents used to be big into drugs, smuggling and such, but that was cocaine mainly. They say marijuana will lead to other things, which i think can be true, but im so happy with smoking i have no need to abuse other hard drugs. I have tried coke already and it's not as good to me as smoking a bowl.

On another note I got fucking smashed last night and drove home drunk. And i generally don't like drinking just because it takes away from my high, but since no more bud there ain't much left to do.

At least i get to smoke after my drugs tests for a day or 2. I get them every 2 weeks, and it takes about a week for thc to get out of my system. I'm gona be high as fuck off some regs. Can't Wait, Peace.
