Angry I don't recycle

I refuse too. The shit is a big lie. I see it, I throw a beer bottle in the trash and someone comes by to pick it out. Not for the 5 cents (the chinese ladies come by my trash and do that), but so they can recycle it. If I could do it without making a huge mess and shredding my skin to pieces I'd break every last glass bottle I go through. Why the fuck do we need to recycle glass? Its fucking made from sand.
Just like using one side of the paper. I always use one side of the paper. Why? Because its cleaner, and because it pisses tree huggers off. Paper is cheap enough that I can waste %50 of the material and not make much of a difference. Someone once told me "Use both sides of the paper, they have to kill trees to make that", so I took the entire notebook, threw it in the trash, dumped nasty shit over it so they couldn't fetch it out and use it, then bought another one. Worth every last penny of that $.79.
I'm sure it will piss you tree huggers off to read this. Well, your constant bullshit about recycling pisses me off too.

It is in half baked. They said "This belongs in mother nature". Too bad it wasn't printed on paper, I'd put it in every forum, using the most paper I possibly could.

So why go through all the trouble of turning sand into glass when you could just turn glass into glass?

Also, I'm not gonna try the "it's more energy efficient" approach, I'll just say this:

Where do you intend to put all these things you're discarding in, say, 25 years? In case you haven't noticed, landfill sites aren't as empty as they used to be.

But couldn't we just recycle Richard & save the world a whole lot of grief?

It is mainly to save landfill space. The glass, that is. With Rick? It's just general grief.

From what I understand, recycling everything except aluminum wastes more time, money, and energy that it would to just start from scratch.

Perhaps for plastics, but then, most recycled plastics go into completely different products than the ones they came from.

Paper too, is probably inefficient.

But never doubt metals. It is always easier to recycle metals. First, they're already at a certain level of purity. Second, less transportation than ores. Third, you don't need a third, the first one by itself is more than enough by a wide margin.

I will grant you that aluminum is the most efficient to recycle, because it takes a shitload of electricity to break down aluminum oxide.
