Im prolly dropping acid tommorow, and I might need to be presentable infront of my parents. I've done mushies a whole bunch of times, and the few times I really tripped out I knew that I could not hide shit if I needed to. I have never done acid. I will only be taking 1 hit.

Is there anything I should notice about myself that people on acid usually neglect? Like posture, eye contact, tone of voice, etc. I could hide in my basement all day but that would be boring as shit I assume. I can hide being stoned very well but this is clearly totally different.

Save your first acid experience for some time that you don't have to deal with any of that bullshit.

Acid is usually easier to handle than shrooms. Just try not to stare at one place for like 20 minutes.

Pretty much if you don't think you could deal with your parents on shrooms, don't try it with acid.

Well, not real acid. I don't know about some of the shit that is passed off as acid these days. But real acid is almost [almost] just like shrooms.

It's pretty easy sometimes, but most of the time it's pretty hard because of the twitching and long pauses where you kinda just sloop down slowly and stare at the moving walls for like 10 minutes...

ive done it on 1 hit of some fairly low quality acid... enough for a good head space but nothing extremely visual...

i would say wait and not do it around them...

but if you insist don't speak unless spoken to... ask yourself if what you do say is relevant and not too out there... ive been in the middle of the street at 3 am staring at a street lamp rambling on about narnia while tripping on acid...

Yeah, people can always tell when I'm tripping. Then again, I always like taking AT LEAST 3 decently potent blotters to get a good trip going, so my pupils usually claim most of my eyeball space.

imo its really fun to trip around my parents, they are active christians and my mom is a PA. so they know when i'm fucked up. one thing though i can't smoke bud and be high around them i just can't do it.
one time, about a year ago, i had eaten a couple hits, went for a 5 hour walk around town, and i got home earlier than i had planned so i went down to the basement and started to patch a hole in my raft. then my dad came down and he was like "your pupils are huge, it must be that patch glue" i was like "yeah i should quit fixing this raft this glue smell is giving me a headache" then we went upstairs and showed my mom who was like i guess that glue will do that to you. the whole time i'm inside my head laughing b/c i'm really trippin out of my mind.
then i went to the wal mart and got some groceries for them. all i can say is just remember how much fun your having and it will control everything else. fuck take 2 hits. if they ask whats wrong tell them you sick but be like i'll get over it.

Some of you need to stop taking LSD to "just get fucked up." The experience can do so much more for you than just getting you really fucked up.

Someone I know thought it'd be a good idea to take upwards of 3 hits (of strong acid) for his first time to do just that. He thought because he can handle shrooms (which he can't), he can certainly handle a strong acid trip. He was very, very mistaken. He learned a very valuable lesson that day :)

If you have to act normal, or even want to act normal, it's a waste of acid.

Hell, I would do it. I've done acid at my house a couple times. I'm pretty chill when it comes to psychedelics though (I personally have never EVER had a bad trip, no matter WHAT circumstance I've been in...I almost drowned once, and was somehow completely calm afterwards).

Just don't hang with them, say hi and all that crap and go do your own thing. If you have to sit at a dinner table with them or hang with them, I'd think anyone would know that's a bad idea.
I've sat at the dinner table on some good tabs with my parents, they could tell what was going on just by how I reacted and how much I wasn't eating.
Knowing that they knew put me in a bad state.
But it counts to my experiences and i'm glad I experienced it.

You can tell if it's real or not, and nothing looks REALISTIC---more cartooney and animated. It all depends on the trip but here's some shit that i've seen:
I looked at my friends table and I could see thousands of tiny mr game and watches morphing on the wood (like the table was a tv screen almost) and I watched them dance all over the place.
I also ALWAYS see lots of tube-like waves that have orange lines across them and they move as if they are measuring the "frequency" of whatever they're on top of.

I see LOTS of lights and dots, and towards the peak I usually close my eyes and see COLORS upon colors that morph into an really complex pattern-almost like splatter art, but in a psychedelic way.

It's stuff that's already there, as in you percieve it as on top of life-not outside of it.

You're not going to see disembodied hallucinations (but it CAN happen-who knows?) but rather patterns and pictures that your mind makes around shit that's there.
So no, you wouldn't see a blue elephant walk into your room---but I saw a flashing neon rectangle that looked like it came out of some techno cartoon push its way through the window on my door.

I agree, if you know how potent the acid is and don't go overboard... Shrooms are completely disabling for me. I act like a toddler, I can't talk for shit. But on acid, I'm lucid and coherent, though obviously tripping.
