so what do trains haul, what can be expected to be found in boxcars? are locked boxcars holding more valuable items? are items ones that can be hauled on foot?

Re: trains, and what they haul
Generally stuff to factories and stuff. Expect to find a lot of loading palates. The trains that come through here mostly carry car parts, like the frame parts and the outside parts (I don't know car terminology).

Re: trains, and what they haul
What do trains haul? They haul ass. Highballin' down the track at 70mph. Ever heard of Casey Jones? Yeah, he hauled ass alright.
From what I've heard, freight by rr has gone down. It's faster and more reliable to send it via trucking services. But shit is still sent via freight, just not shit like oranges or perishables or shit that needs to get there right quick, y'dig?

Re: trains, and what they haul
your gonna find a whole lot of very large and heavy items being shipped in bulk. unless you like stealing scrap steel or gravel and ore theres not much of a chance of finding anything useful.

This. And also grain/gravel/sand and chemicals, but those aren't in the box cars. Unless you know of a certain delivery train robbery is essentially a thing of the past. You'd need a forklift, or a helicopter...

Re: trains, and what they haul
new cars are quite common, as are large quantities of material.
breaking the shipping seal on boxcars is a felony.
fuck stealing anything from them, if you break in too a train that is stopped somewhere, they will know exactly where it was broken into, and if you continue too do it they will start to do things to prevent this from happening in the future.
just write on that shit!!!
