When you're very high or on hallucinogens, if you just let go and try to think about nothing at all, all of a sudden the hallucinations/sense-magnification/mind-fuck grows increasingly more intense, at very first just a little but then they gain momentum quickly and grow very intense, so intense that they feel overwhelming and you have to focus your attention on something so they go back to "normal" intensity.

My question is, is it possible to completely let go and allow yourself to be completely overwhelmed by the stone/hallucinations/etc. ? To quit trying to control the trip completely and just exist in this hallucinogenic state?

Sorry if you don't understand what I'm talking about, I've been thinking about this for a long time and I've never seen a thread about this or of this nature before.

Any answers/techniques/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

LSD. Salvia. RC's. DMT. DXM. Even fucking Datura. All these and more have to ability to put you into the state you are talking about if you take the necessary dose. At these dosages the problem isn't forcing yourself to 'let go' per say, its 'holding on' that you must consider.

2mg DOB gave me a bad trip, and I found myself either unable or extremely unwilling to let go and just exist, I had to focus on something and experience it morphing (individually) or else I felt like I was losing control. Which is what I want to do, to lose control, but I don't know how to. Practice?

Like I said, I don't want to hold on. Holding on is easier than letting go. Or, at least, less terrifying.

Salvia did this to me the first time I ever smoked it. As soon as I took my second hit and passed the bong, I just kinda spaced out and looked into this hole in a rotten log beside me and all of a sudden the log came alive like a snake and grew towards me and I was swallowed up by the hole and it seemed like I was in some crazy other dimension for an eternity, but once I snapped out of it my friend beside me had just finished packing his bowl.

These guys are right, and you sound like youre talking about weed, its pretty mildly psychadellic but not enough to completely just let go and sit in a mindfuck state.

If you wanna do that though on weed, I would suggest getting some high potency salvia 10x + and sprinkle a pinch or two onto the weed, then smoke it like normal. take like 10 nice big hits. I dunno why but when I do this the weed lasts like 4 hours, its crazy stronger and I always go into these wierd trances and hear wierd old gameboy game like noises and things kinda warp around and theres a strong buzz.

i can let go when im perfectly sober, just shut off and not think about anything... its all well and good when i do it on purpose but scarily similar to absence seizures that my neurologist thinks are coming back.... pretty bad when you just shut off for 20 seconds in the middle of driving only to realize you just turned into someone coming at you at 50 miles per hour...

its amazing to just close your eyes and just let the effects of the drug overtake you... never try to fight it, just lose yourself in it all... experience eternity only to open your eyes and see that only 1 minute has passed on the clock...

yup!! learn a little about some meditation and you will be able to 'hold' as long as you allow yourself

Use cough syrup with only 15 mg DXM per 5 ml as the active ingridient. Or you can use Zicam which is the spray stuff that you break open. Trips with Zicam generally come on faster and are more intense but shorter. Do NOT USE CCC's, anyone!

Thats probably the worst advice I have ever read on BLTC.

I've been tripping on acid so hard I felt like I could just stop breathing, I had total control of my body, and my friend took my pulse to make sure I was still fucking alive, he said it was below 40 BPM. I felt that I could understand every part of my body, I could feel my lungs expanding, then go farther and farther, and would only take 2-3 big breaths a minute without feeling badly. This was the most amazing experience of my life, it only lasted maybe 10 minutes but it changed me forever.

I felt like if I wanted to I could just stop breathing entirely, it was almost as if I didn't need the air, it was a mental state that overcame physical feelings, and made things your body would normally do on it's own within my reach and control.

This is pretty much the opposite of letting go, but I find it equally interesting.
