So I was just talking to my dealer and he was telling me that he might be getting his hands on a half kg of cannabis crystals soon. He's not from around here - English isn't his first language, but then he speaks 5 so I don't know which one is - and so I was just wondering if anyone's heard of this type of thing before.

I've been smoking for a long time and haven't ever really come across anything called 'cannabis crystals' since now. He literally described it as small flakes of THC... so it's not just the name of a particular type of weed.

He's pretty big and deals an assortment of drugs. He's well connected and could theoretically attain anything providing there's a market for it. Therefore, I don't have any real reason to doubt him other than the fact that I ain't seen it before...

So, anyone know what this shit is?

Unless he somehow found a source for pure THC, which I really really really really fucking doubt, he is either bullshitting you, being bullshitted, or just plain fucking stupid and misunderstood what his supplier told him.


Pure THC is so costly to manufacture that it is cheaper to just extract from plant matter and clean it yourself.

Seriously. One of the precursors costs over 400 bucks a gram.


Unless it's like THC isomer 5, then it will still be quite expensive, but with the potency on that, and a few other isomers, total yield/investment ratio is actually better than plant matter, but again, I really really doubt it.

But if that IS the case, the price will be INSANE, but you should pick up a few mg if you can afford it.

If think he might be talking about one of two things. Either unpressed hash, or the really nice crystal stuff that is on a grinder after its used for awhile. If he is actually talking about the really nice crystal stuff then you will be a very happy person.

He's probably honestly just talking about kif (or keef or kief or keif or however you want to spell it...) which is more or less mostly just the THC crystals from the bud. And, it would make sense for what he's saying.

It is much more than just crystals, keif is not a pure product, and the difference in volume between pure THC and keif with that same amount of THC is huge.


So if that's the case, it's like I said, the dealer is a jackass.

I hear stoners refer to the little dust on weed 'crystals'. Usually from what's left over in the grinder. They'll be like "Yo man last night we smoked like 12 bowls and then we scraped my grinder and smoked the crystals man and we got soooo blazed man!".

But there are a hell of a lot of weed myths, I don't know if this gets you exceptionally high for this little amount.

You're right stupid noob, kif isn't just THC crystals. That's why I said, more or less just THC crystals. It also has a fair amount of plant matter in it, which is why it is almost always green. But, I'm fairly sure that's what the guys friend is talking about, and for the sake of argument, let's just refer to the kif in this thread as "Cannabis crystals" I guess... *shrugs*

They sell it in Holland... the crystalls skimmed off leaves, stems and small buds which are left over from a big grow. If someone's been growing hundreds of weed plants and rubbing the remainders over a screen after the buds have been cut, then yeh... they'll have lots of crystals to sell. Half a kilo still seems unlikely though!

I'd give it a try; could be really nice, as long as he's not charging ridiculous amounts...
