Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

Default mccain's character

do you think mccain has been corrupted by the world of politics, or is he still the principled man who refused to give anything but name, rank, and serial number to his commie tormentors? is he a malicious liar who says what he thinks people want to hear, or is he still the man who demanded the "first in, first out" policy by adhered to when he had the opportunity to cut to the front of the line?

basically is he a man of principles? what is his motivation to be president? is it really because he thinks he can do it well? or is it for the same reason as obama and hillary, that they simply seek power and all it entails?

The last questions sound like something that only he can answer.

Principles or not he is going to fuck us up.

Couldn't say for sure, but no doubt superior to Romney. Incidentally where is this "Hilary and Obama = powermongers" nonsense coming from?

I'm an optimist when it comes to characteristics. I'd still think he is a man of principle. Well, except for the fact that he is now kissing the asses of those who condemned him when he ran for President in the 2000 Election Primaries.

I'm assuming its because he believes he can be a better President than the others. He would have definately been a better President than Bush.

During Bush's first term, he seemed to be right on a lot of the issues. But since Bush's second term he has changed. But that was attributed, by most, to the thought that he may be running for President again when Bush's second term is up. It would seem that prediction was correct.

Any person who thinks they are better than others would seek power to ensure their way is executed. After all, they do think their way is better than other proposed ways presented by other candidates.

I don't like Mccain,he is a liar, and just like any other politician. If he wins the nomination, its a guarantee for the democrats.

Mainly because who the fuck wants a old guy for president? Does he even realize the stress levels of being president???

Look at Bush in 00,and now in 08 its like he went from age 30 to 60 within 8 year's.Even if Mccain becomes president.

I don't think he can truely handle the stress levels, and most likely have a stroke and die.The only people he attracts are old people, and vets.

Seriously with old people in office is fucking up everything, and trying to do everything to stay in power to be remembered.

They could give a shit less whats truely changing in our today's world. We need out with the old,in with the new.Old people don't give a shit what young people think.

Once all the young people grow up,this country is going to turn around to be greater than we imagined or even shittier than now.

If McCain wins then it doesnt really matter if you vote rep or dem, you will be seeing a lot of people losing their guns Unlucky.

McCain is a fucking worm, so is Clinton.

Plus, in the last few days ive been pissed off at the media ignoring Ron paul. New york times only listed three rep candidates, and british news had a pundit on who said "Mccain and the other two candidates..." FUCK.

America deserves what it gets if mccain or clinton get into power.

If the dems win America will slide further and further into recession and maybe a depression, we all know of their famous unballanced budgets and wild spending sprees of public cash.

Your president just announced a $3 trillion budget. How can you accuse democrates of runaway spending when your republican president is clearly doing the same?

So, if it's going to happen either way, what's the benefit of voting Republican over Democrat?

Damn, I think I am getting forgetful. Could you remind me who the last President with a budget surplus was? The name is on the tip of my tongue, something like Clanton, no, Flinton? Shit, I swore I knew this.
