Default Meth heads and Mountain Dew

I noticed about a year ago when I would hang out with my meth dealer cousin and all of his sketchy friends that they all drank lots of Mountain Dew. Then the other day a friend of mine was telling me that he had noticed it as well(seperate group of speed freaks and a different state.) Not long after that some guy on the radio made a joke about meth heads loving the stuff. Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't really hang out with meth heads, but I do notice a lot of people drink mountain dew. I mean, it is tasty after all.

Makes sense.

Never understood liking being tweaked. Maybe a little adderall for studying.

Probably using the MD to inhibit adenosine receptors since they're all burned out from the meth.

When on meth, people tend to crave sugar for two things, their dehydrated soon-to-be meth mouth and a simple energy boost.

Carbonated drinks just make your teeth worse.

It's actually the pyrolization products that damage teeth. As in, smoking. Not the actual meth itself.

Mountain dew contains caffeine
caffeine = stimulant
meth = stimulant

Even w/o smoking, a lot of them tend to grind their teeth.

Can't be good, especially if you're tweaked all the time.

Naminator, sugar actually doesn't give an energy boost. Studies have shown sugar doesn't make people (even kids) hyperactive. Also, carbonated drinks don't ruin teeth; it's usually the massive amounts of high fructose corn syrup in them that ruin the teeth. If they were drinking it for energy it would be because of the caffeine, which I couldn't see doing much if they were used to doing meth...
