Hi all, a few months ago I tried salvia for the first time. I was at a party and it was being passed round, due to this, I cannot be 100% sure what brand or strength it was. However I'm told I had 10x then 60x. I would say probably about 3-5 modest hits of each. I was blown away by it, absolutly LOVED every second of it, definatly broke through. Ohh boy did I break through. Seing as it was such a good experience, naturally I wanted to try it again. Since then, I have twice bought half a gram of 20x and smoked it all up in a small wooden pipe. However, to my disapointment, it failed to have much effect at all, despite taking monster rips and holding them for as long as possible (about 40-60 seconds) This occoured both times.

Does anyone have any idea what could have been cuasing this? I'd love to be able to repeat my excellent introduction to Salvia again some time soon, but so far, no luck for me. :(

Here are some guesses... 1) You're getting ripped off, what you're getting isn't actually salvia, or isn't actually as high of an extract as they claim. OR they aren't giving you as much as they say they are. 2) You aren't smoking it properly. You should be using a torch lighter, and a bong. If you're taking big rips and holding it, that should be ok, but you should get a torch lighter and bong. You don't NEED a torch lighter (Even though I know more than half the people on here would disagree with me here... I have personally broken though on several occasions without one) or a bong, they can only serve to help. 3) Maybe what you had at the party wasn't salvia and so the experience you're looking for won't ever be achieved from Salvia purchased anywhere.
These are just a few suggestions... But who knows. I don't think any of us can tell you for sure why it isn't working properly. But, I'd try taking my advice and see how it goes, get back to us after.

Do you know what a BBQ-Lighter is? A butane lighter with a long neck. $2 >5 at a BBQ/hardware store. Some people like to tie their bong to a table leg, to avoid spillage. Not necessary...but put it away after whatever you do.

The Salvia I bought was from a legit store, see the same brand all over the place in the UK. When I smoked it first time (the time I broke through) it was simply in a pipe with a zippo. Im also posotive that it was Salvia..same smell, same little tubes etc etc.

Then my advice would be to get a higher extract, and use a torch lighter, and bong. That's about the best advice ANYONE will be able to give you. Other than that, sorry.

Yeh admitedly it was a tad stupid doing it at a party, but hey. Worked out great that time, which I am thankful for. However I can apreciate that I got lucky. Certainly made the night a VERY enjoyable one though. Maybe my idea of a good time is just a tad warped. I dont know. :)

Everytime I try salvia I get NO effect. I inhale it as much as my friends do. They are tripping balls why Im sitting there almost sober laughing at them. i haven't had any hallucinations at all. i tried 35x and nothing!!

The first time I did it, I was in another demension, but then I did it again and it has no effect on me. WTF!!

Yes, it's definitely not for everyone. But, why are you spending so much on it? Buy it online. You'll get it for easily half the price, or less, than what you'd pay at a smoke shop.

Seems to be the average price here in the uk. But I will take a look online, wouldnt complain if I could find it cheaper.

I think I see what you're saying, but no... That's not the case. It just so happens that only a SMALL percentage of the drug using population enjoys the effects of salvia. But then again, it's been said that only 10% of the population feels euphoria from abusing opiates/opioids. So... who knows, maybe it's a similar percentage from Salvia. I mean, Salvinorin A does acts as a kappa opioid receptor agonist...

I thought I'd like Salvia since I'm a man of excess taste.

LONG VERSION: I thought there was no such thing as too high/fucked up until I tried Salvia. I mean, I could smoke weed until I was drooling on myself and I'm OK with that mental state, I've also been equally drunk and while it was stupid, I was OK in that mental state without feeling afraid of losing control.

Even on mushrooms when I took the entire bag the first time out blended up in apple juice, and totally lost any kind of concept of sanity, I had a great time and I knew I was going to be OK.

Salvia though, there really aren't any words in any language to describe it. While some of it was fun, it was equally if not more so just plain out scary. It was really cool though at first because I became my bong. I realized how much happiness this simple blob of melted sand brought me. I realized that my bong was just as much of a friend to me as my human friends... wait, humans? What? Where am I? Oh yeah, I'm a bong.

That was how it was going for a while, then things kicked up a gear and it was like being knocked out... I really have no recollection of a lot of it, as it was too "intense", intense isn't the right word, because there is no right word.

To get the best results like I did, load up a big bowl of some 10-20x into a bong, with the bowl lined with tinfoil or have a glass jack in the bottom. Get a torch lighter, one of those lighters with the very hot jet flame. Now, hit that shit for all its worth. Now, hold it as if it was the last breath of oxygen on earth. Put your shit down and get somewhere comfortable/safe FAST. From here on it, its all personal. No one else on earth will ever be able to imagine/comprehend what just happened to you.
