How would you perform a cold water extraction on hydrocodone syrup? Would it just be the same as if doing so on a hydrocodone pill?

What is in it and at what dosages?

If it's promethazine with codeine, it isn't Hydrocodone now is it. It depends on what kind of syrup it is and what the active ingredients are. Some are nearly impossible to extract, especially when they are time release syrups. Syrups are a waste of time in my opinion. People charge outrageous prices for them, they are nearly un-abusable if you have any sort of tolerance, they are bad for you even in small amounts due to the high number of active ingredients most have (For example, histussin has phenylephrine, Hydrocodone, and chlorpheneramine maleat) Another thing, don't mix any syrups with alcohol or other downers, it doesn't make you cool it makes you an idiot. It's pretty easy to die doing dumb shit like that.

But, if its hycotuss (hydrocodone+guaf i beleive) theres no need to.
And if what your trying to get out is APAP, ibuprofen, or something else thats in vicodin and you would regularly CWE, then theres no reason it shouldnt work,

I'm not to sure actually, my buddy gave it to me for free yesterday. It says hydrocodone with apap..Plus the syrup tastes like shit. So I was just wondering if there was a way to remove the apap and just get hydrocodone, But I thought there might be a different procedure since it's like mixing a liquid with a liquid.

If it's just Hydro and APAP then it's Lortab Elixir. That stuff is decent enough as far as syrups go. As far as I know, there is no difference in method for CWE between this and a Vicodin. However, if you don't have a tolerance or even if you have a small tolerance you shouldn't need a CWE. Honestly, no matter how good you are at doing a CWE you will always lose some of the active ingredient you want to keep. It's a pointless waste that only continues to see use because people are ignorant assholes that spread bullshit like the plague, e.g. getting high on bananas or peanuts, or snorting Vicodin/Percocet/etc, and so on.

So in other words...It's basically pointless to do a CWE on the syrup?

If you have no tolerance, yes I'd say it's pointless. But, for the most part I say CWEs are pointless no matter what. Tylenol can be VERY dangerous, but if you have a big enough tolerance to need a CWE, either take a break or get some better drugs.
