Is this safe?
I've got a bit less than a mickey of captain morgans, thats been mixed with some coke. Thing is it was left outside on my patio for 2 straight weeks (the bottle was opened, but the top was on the entire time). So its been in the rain, wind etc for a while.
Might be a dumb question, but is it still safe to drink that? Theres also little things floating in it, looks kinda normal, its obviously not bugs but maybe what was in my mouth when I drank a bit of it last time :p
yey or nay

I would still drink it if I really wanted to get drunk.I don't know if it would be safe or not though.

Re: Is this safe?
First of all, never mix Caffeine with alcohol. Alcohol is a depressant, Caffeine is a stimulant, and mixing depressants and stimulants is bad for your organs; namely the heart. Also, since Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor and Alcohol thins your blood, that's a problem waiting to happen (especially with the increased heart rate from Caffeine). Second, I hear that flat soda is a big cause of some serious stomach problems. Don't know how that could be any more so then fresh soda, but... who knows. Also, something that is left out that long is going to taste horrible. I don't know exactly what it was stored in, but if it was plastic the acids and heat could and probably did leach toxic chemicals from the plastic. It can happen, and does more often than people think. But... As far as bacteria goes, the alcohol should probably have killed it all off, at least for the most part. Will you be fine... Hard to say. Will you drink it no matter what we say on here, probably.

First of all:
Caffeine and alcohol - it's not that fucking serious, calm down.
And
Plastic leaching toxic chemicals - what plastic are coke bottles made out of again?
Polywhatever?
That shit is more then capable of standing up to the dilute acids in cola and even heatwave level sunlight.
Yeah i am an ignorant, judgmental piece of garbage, what's your claim to fame motherfucker?
Hey atleast i know how to appropriately assess risks and give advice with out flooding the poor kids with useless information. :)

Re: Is this safe?
If your worried about the chunks, strain them out and your good to go. Mix it with a little fresh pop and it'll taste way less nasty. It'll be fine, I've drank worse.
EDIT: Why would you abandon Captain Morgans outside for so long?

Re: Is this safe?
i would guess that it's safe, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to put it through a coffee filter before you drink it.

You worry entirely too much for someone with that name.
To the OP: I wouldn't drink it, but I really don't drink anymore. If you want to get drunk, just use what's available. If you're worried about the chunks in it, run it through a coffee filter or something.

i purposely mix my vodka with 100mg caffeine, 1000mg Taurine, 100mg isotol, 100mg guarana, and 100% dv of each : B12, B6, Vitamin C, Pantothenic Acid.
Considering i drink 2-7 of these per drinking session (sometimes other drinks also ensure)
thats a quite a bit off caffeine......they balance out nicely.
I can drink more, and get the partial crossover opiate activity which my body craves, without getting all sloppy and tired.
Hoora!:D
also the vitamin B in the drinks prevents the all too known side effect called the "hang over"
