Has anyone here tried Iboga (or Ibogaine) for recreation or addiction interruption?

Is it a worthwhile experience?

How harsh is it on your body?

Sorry, I just never see many/any threads here about iboga and I'm curious.

I wouldn't call Iboga recreational..and I don't know you, but you should make sure you are fully prepared before you think of trying it.

Check Erowid for more info on it.

Also, if you can find the book "Breaking open the mind - A psychedelic journey into the heart of contemporary shamanism" it's a really good read and it has info on what to expect with this drug and a few other powerful psychedelics.

I wouldn't call Iboga recreational..

I meant "recreation" as opposed to "medicine" (for addiction or whatever). As in, someone seeking an entheogenic experience for the sake of exploration, not ending an addiction.

Sorry for wording it incorrectly.

It has the most insane molecular structure, and, some people have died on it. However, the cause of their deaths is debatable, most of them were being treated for drug addiction, and withdrawal symptoms might have had significant role in their deaths.

Other than that, it's a pretty interesting trip. Really long. I've only done it once, b/c of it's rarity. Make sure that your ready, b/c you really don't see it much.
