My psychonaut friend recommended that i smoke it, not snort the powder, my first time (apparently it kicks in instantly but is easier to gauge a dose and also the effects aren't as long lasting).

what would be the best way to ingest without overdosing?

also i've been told the experience lasts about 30 minutes and then you come back to reality but still ahve lingering after-effects for several hours later. can anyone verify/comment on this?

you need a trip sitter for this, he'll also need to take the pipe from you because it hits almost instantly. you will only have a chance for 1-2 hits and they are harshest hits you will ever take.

Snorting works, and its pretty awesome, but you use a lot more.
Smoking is definitely the best route of administration, other than IV.
Trip sitters are recommended, but not required, and contrary to popular, untrue belief, yes, you will have time to put down the pipe.
Take as many hits as you can, holding for 20 seconds or so, I usually get in 3-4.

unless smoked or injected it is metabolized before effects are seen. if used orally it needs to be combined with an maoi. i believe this extends to insufflated use as well, but i'm not bothering to check.

and be prepared for harshness. i have asthma, and i couldn't take the hits. i ended up breaking through once smoked, and then i used it iv from then on.

get some harmaline extract and eat it. the onset is smoother and the effects are not so scary and uncomfortable
