Medical Marijuana
I'm writing a paper for Comp I and remember reading on Erowid that the California Medical Board or w/e indicated Cannabis for over 250 medical conditions. I want to say with some validity that their is no drug ever indicated for that many but can't find shit anywhere. Looked for over one hour. I was thinking maybe penicillin or some antibiotic. Still nothing. If you know something or can point me to a source I'd really appreciate it.

Re: Medical Marijuana
Well I'm sure that penicillin can kill more than 250 different types of bacteria.
So fail.

Re: Medical Marijuana
I want to say ... but can't find shit anywhere. Looked for over one hour.
I would stick to what can be found to be fact in numerous studies and papers, not what sounds good and what I would like to say.
I would really like to tell Mr.Drug Czar that drug prohibition is the main cause of problems for drug users and addicts, and that there are no reasons for cannabis to remain illegal, and has so many beneficial uses for society that the current situation is lunacy.
But I can't just say that and not back any of it up. Thats a conclusion based on plenty of true information, but not the research itself.
So if you want to say something, but can't find anything to back it up ... you just shouldn't say it. Leave the propaganda for the other side, it makes them much less credible anyways. Theres plenty of other ways to communicate your opinion using the wealth of information which is available.

Well the great part is that the information which is available to use will still astound the ignorant.
The challenge is to make those seemingly-astounding facts believable to those ignorant minds, something which is apparently harder to do once their brains have been washed so clean of the ability to think for themselves.

Right, not really sure how to do that but present facts and the outcomes of studies, reviews of patients, etc. Anybody with additional ideas of how to convince?
Don't have to start writing the paper for another week haven't even begun to think of a thesis, need to find more sources.

Re: Medical Marijuana

It depends on what kind of paper it is, but to intrigue the reader try to remember that its not what you write about, but how you write it.
If its the kind of paper which allows personal opinions to be included, keep your style casually professional. You don't want appear like a "stereotypical-drug-user", you don't want to come of as very offensive or radical; remember the ignorant persons initial opinion of the subject. Neither do you want to come off as dork just referencing studies. Include personality, be friendly yet direct, make your position clear but not offensive, and ease them into it slowly. Start out with the less-astounding facts, and with some charisma, increase the magnitude of the information. At the end of the paper, you want them to understand the basis for your position, and hopefully convince them of the injustice of the situation today.
need to find more sources.
The Emperor Wears No Clothes (http://www.jackherer.com/chapters.html)
NORML (http://www.norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=3471)
Theres a couple, and Erowid always links to other sites at the bottom of the vault as well.
