Default Filling the role as "therapist" with girls is "bad"?

I try to get girls to tell me their problems and then help them find solutions as a way to get them to think I'm manly/dominant because I know how shit works and I can tell them how to go about it.

I've also had the feeling that this isn't doing me any good after a "session" is ended. It feels like it's harming me, for some reason.

I am also bipolar and get paranoid about things, even if they are positive, so this may be wrong.

I asked my dad about it and he told me that once you discuss a woman's problems w/ them, you become a problem, kinda deal.

He said its best for them to subliminally think of you as a positive instead of a problem, and if you two talk about problems, she will subliminally think of you in that zone.

Thoughts? Am I just tripping?

Ok, so what do you do when they bring a problem to you?

"Hey, that's really interesting, you should write it in your blog and send me the link"

Idunno, I just talk and joke around. But I dont try to 'solve' their problems.

Theyre not looking for that, most of the time they just want someoen to listen. So you cheer them up.

How does it make you look manly or dominant? I see most guys like that as far from dominant.

I hear that the wimmens just like to talk & they don't really want someone to "fix" their problems. Just someone to go "uh huh" "oh, yeah". So as they don't have to just talk to themselves out loud & look stupid?

All my best friends are female, and I act as a kind of impromptu emotional support/therapy.

No problems as of yet, so...

If you want to help her fine, but if she says your not helping and gets mad at you, don't get mad back, just say, well that mush be frustrating and stop trying to help with that particular problem. If she doesn't want to deal with a problem you'll never be able to make her do so.

Ya, but you're JUST FRIENDS w/ them, faggot, and just proved my theory.

OK NO MOAR helping girls out w/ their problems!

I like the above posters responce!!

Ok, so I just need to find sexual/witty responces when they bring up problems???

When is their an exception to this rule and I can actually help them out?

AND WHAT TO DO WHEN THEIR PROBLEM INVOLVES YOU?

So you trying to get sex from them is more important than helping with their problems that they bring to you?

OP its this simple. If you are looking to play therapist with the intent of fucking them......its an exercise in patience. This ain't a quick kill on night talk, you are in her panties type scenario. The fine line is falling into "just friend" zone, but with the right girl hearing the right bullshit from the right guy....of course it could work. But if you are already awkward and deep in self-analysis instead of focusing on her emotional/physical cues while spending time with her.....then epic fail. It takes some smart and cunning to help/heal/hump in no particular order, and someone worrying too much about how they are coming off to the girl wouldn't be able to pull it off. Really LISTEN to her and then guide your advice to the most advantageous possible scenario for you.

Although I have no idea what you mean when saying..."I'm one of the problems" unless you elaborate more.

Took me a while to learn, but this. Don't offer solutions, offer support. I'll be there for you, that sucks, that is so unfair.

They don't want to hear that they are only having problems because they suck at life. They want to hear that its unavoidable and totally like not fair at all.

Might be a bit negative. I wonder: John Wing has some nice bits about marriage & dealing with the wimmens. I'll see if I can dig them up... He's big on the nodding & going "Uh huh", not fixing her 'problem' but when she's winding down he asks her, "So: what have you decided to do?"

yeah, until you find that you actually want to be with one of 'em, and they don't want to fuck up the friendship.

in that regard, so long as you, yourself have a girlfriend, or can successfully differentiate between the girls you help and those you chase, you'll be fine.

on both accounts, I speak from experience. No, that doesn't make me gay. It makes me willing to listen to people and give advice.

I mean that if she has a problem w/ me and brings it up.

OK some of the advice you assholes worked! My hott manager today was telling me she was depressed and she obviously wanted me to ask her about it. I just laughed at her and said "well I'm feeling great." This obviously triggered something in her because she kept talking to me.

OK I think I need to explain the situation I'm currently in.

I am only having sex w/ one girl right now. We are not in a relationship, nor are we "technically" dating. We used to be just freinds, but somehow now we bang. At the same time, if anyone looked at us, they would think "wow they are in a commited relationship" because we touch each other all the time, say I love you, and shit like that. It is obvious we both have feelings for each other, but there is no name on what we are considered, we dont talk about it. When other people ask us, we say "just friends," but from now on I'm going to say "undefined" because I think its hawt. Now, it this situation, I basically want to keep her thinking of me as a sexual partner and somewhat of a romantic figure. If I loose her interest she will probally want me to be a friend again. My goal is to eventually get her to be in a relationship w/ me (like in a few months)

When this girl brings problems to me, how should I handle it?

I find filling my role as the rapist to be both easy and satisfying. It also stresses my dominance.

It depends. If the problem is that even with her incredibly sensitive clit you can't make her cum, just say "Well I can cum easily" and laugh at her.

Make her forget about her problems. Don't be her emotional tampon. Faggot.
